Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland - Promiscuous

Sigala featuring Bryn Christopher - Sweet Lovin'

Take That - Could It Be Magic

The Waterboys - The Whole Of The Moon

This inexplicably only reached number 26 in 1985 but was re-issued in 1991 to coincide with the release of 'The Best of The Waterboys 81-90' album. Also here is Take That's cover of the Barry Manilow song.

Leona Lewis - One More Sleep

Madonna - Erotica

Mott The Hoople - All The Young Dudes

The Prodigy - Charly

Red Box - Lean On Me (Ah-Li-Ayo)

An uplifting song that never fails to put me in a good mood. Red Box reformed in 2010 and are still going. Elsewhere, we have the song David Bowie wrote for Mott The Hoople, Leona Lewis' Christmas song, The Prodigy's first top 40 hit and the second of Madonna's seven singles that received votes.

THE CUT OFF POINT HAS BEEN REACHED

There are 102 songs left with the next four on 53 points. Rather than eliminate two of them on a tie-break, I am putting all four of them into the semi-finals. I also promised that every voter's favourite number 3 single is guaranteed a place in the semis so we also have some wild cards:

Wild Cards

Jax Jones featuring Raye - You Don't Know Me (danuary)

Britney Spears - Sometimes (No Sleeep)

Son Of Dork - Ticket Outta Loserville (Jason)

Britney Spears - Womanizer (Nick F1)

The Weeknd - The Hills (coi)

Angry Anderson - Suddenly (Mango 30 points)

So there will be 51 qualifiers plus three wild cards in each semi-final. The first one will start on Monday.

I kind of forgot that The Prodigy ever had any #3 hits. Probably should have looked that up and forced myself to vote just to save 'Charly', oh well

(it being 1 point away? pfft)

Losing Charly at the last gasp is a shame. 22 of my 30 have made the cut though, including most of the top 10. Will settle for that!

'Suddenly' has always been one of my all time favourite songs (they don't make power ballads like that anymore) and then we had it as our first dance when I got married so yeah I'm glad it's going through as a wildcard  even though I doubt anyone else is gonna give it any votes!

I'm surprised 'Erotica' finished so high for what I believe is generally regarded as a not very good Madonna song (I think it's brilliant though).

Ed Sheeran falls at the first hurdle again. Happy with 21 of my 30 surviving though and welcome additions of You Don't Know Me and Suddenly among the wildcards.
I’ll be voting for Suddenly again I love it takes me back to childhood and Kylie and Jason era on Neighbours
14 of mine made it through. Sadly lost Reload, Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine) and Faded from my top five right at the end but glad it wasn't just me voting for them.
17 of mine too unless I missed a song or miscounted (which is entirely possible)

I'm sorry but I didn't like this new system of only 100 songs going through to the semifinals. I preferred a lot more last year's sytem with 200 going through.

Hopefully we will be allowed to vote for only 10 songs in each seminfinal round because I don't think I like more than 10 songs left in the top 100.

Looks like if the cut off had been a top 200, it would have been across the 29 points group, but happy with it being done this way.
Oh I didn't realise there were only half as many songs going through this time - I was thinking it seems like a pretty huge difference in the cutoff point!

Not One More Sleep missing the next stage by one vote. :drama: I should've given it the most points.

Also sad to see This Love and Could It Be Magic leave while getting so close.
