'This is the Last Time' is a classic. In fact, all the singles from 'Hopes & Fears' are great, I really ought to listen to the album.

I was going to point out that it has reached Silver before 'Bedshaped' which was a #10 hit (compared to #18 for 'This is the Last Time') but I see that neither reached the Top 200 of 2004 so both sold under 30k oops. 'This is the Last Time' seems more remembered so I'm not surprised its outselling 'Bedshaped'.

This is basically my exact sentiment as well and has been for years at this point  I'll get around to hearing the rest of the album one day xx

Can definitely recommend the album, one of my all time faves!

This is the Last Time is definitely more remembered now but I prefer Bedshaped (although all of the singles from Hopes & Fears are superb) so hopefully it's not too much longer to wait before that makes it as well, might be a while though.

I've been thinking about listening to it for years too!

Could be a while yet for 'Bedshaped' if the worldwide Spotify streams are anything to go by, where it's Keane's 7th most streamed on average compared to 3rd for 'This is the Last Time'.

Florence & The Machine - Cosmic Love - Silver - 2009

I know I'm a little late to this thread but  at these going Silver! I would love Kiss With a Fist to be certified eventually too since it was sitting at similar sales to the others a few years ago.

I was a huge charts fan in the early 10s and I've only started following them again recently. It's incredible that songs which peaked in the lower half of the top 100 can eventually trickle enough units to be certified.

NLMG was at 133,000 combined in July 2018 and passed 200,000 in February 2021, meaning it must add around 2,000 units each month. For a song that peaked at #82 9 years ago, that is amazing and really highlights just how much higher 'sales' are in the streaming era.

Everyone should listen to Hopes and Fears!

Sadly I’ve managed to lose my CD of it somehow, though I still have the sleeve.

Bend and Break is a glorious song too, as well as all 4 singles.

^Bend and Break was a single too, the 5th single but flopped cos the album had sold lots by then

Funnily I never bought it originally but found it recently on the street, somebody had thrown a CD copy to the garbage bin!! :o :/

Omg yes some Bend and Break appreciation  I love Bend and Break even more than any of the charting singles from the album, such a glorious track!

I didn't even have 'Empire State of Mind (Part II)' and '7 Days' down as passing 1m, never mind 1.2m! 'Fill Me In' can't be that far behind, presumably.

6x platinum for Sigh no More!!!
DaBaby with another silver certified song that never charted in the UK top 100! (though in this case it was just because of the 3 track rule on Post Malone's album bomb tbf)

Love ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’, was on TOTP a few months back, his last true classic!

Not too much exciting happening this week although 2x Platinum is impressive for a #12 song by Mice and Men! You do hear it in a lot of places though so maybe not too surprising really!

Also  at Red Lights going Gold and If We Ever Meet Again going Platinum, I loved them back in the day and had forgotten about them until now. That's always what I enjoy looking at the weekly certifications!

'Mice and Men' :cheeseblock: (there actually is a band called Of Mice & Men as well, not to be confused with the 'Little Talks' lot, or indeed the novel that they're both named after x)

Highlights from this week's certification dump for me are 'It Will Rain' going gold and 'Super Rich Kids', one of my fave songs from Frank Ocean, going silver!

I genuinely think I've always thought they were called of Mice and Men  To be fair they were one hit wonders!
