Trance group Above & Beyond have been getting artists to remix their songs recently. Today Oliver Heldens remixes 'Thing Called Love'!

 

 

This beauty came out last month, 'Love Is Not Enough' remixed by Hybrid Minds (drum n bass).

 

I was talking to Lewis about this recently, I wonder why some artists are pushing older albums to get fresh remixes. I’m not complaining it’s just strange to see songs that are some years old getting remixed this late. Sigma are another who seem to be getting older songs remixed and there’s also one by Fatboy Slim that recently had a new remix after almost 20 years.

 

Must be the new trend of 2021 to watch out for now that every song under the sun has been covered or sampled in 2020. :kink:

the Above & Beyond album those two were originally from is having its 10th anniversary this year so I suppose they're gearing up for a re-release to commemorate that with these remixes?

I am very much here for a Group Therapy anniversary release, it's my favourite album of theirs!

apparently this was actually made in 2015, but remained unreleased and exclusive to Spencer Brown's DJ sets until now. the full version of this is 10 minutes too! what a beauty of a song :wub:

One of my favourite chillout songs of all time by Above & Beyond has had a 2021 remix by Alpha 9 and it’s now a bop! :wub:

 

Only just found out that this uplifting trance remix of 'Sun In Your Eyes' finally got an official release recently too (it was hidden on a compilation) - it had been on YouTube as a bootleg since 2012.

 

 

This one's even better than the Spencer Brown remix!
