17 of us contributed scores for the 'Melanie C' album rate (thank you!) and I've now worked out the results!

Before the results begin, do you have any predictions for which song will finish last? Which songs do you think will do the best? The songs included in the rate are:

Who I Am

Blame It on Me

Good Enough

Escape

Overload

Fearless (feat. Nadia Rose)

Here I Am

Nowhere to Run

In and Out of Love

End of Everything

Self Love

Into You

Touch Me

High Heels

Escape will come last (not that it should, it hits you at some point)

Who I Am will win !!

Fearless should be last in any rate not just Melanie C's albums rate.

Who I am will hopefully win, her best and most commercial song since TAI/Burn

14th - 6.059 - Self Love

Highest Score: 9 - Spiceboy, Voodoo

Lowest Score: 3 - engineer, Fleetwood Maz, SouthernStar88

Deluxe CD track and self-empowerment anthem Self Love is out first! :o The lyrics are very affirmative and makes for a pleasantly uplifting bop. I can understand why it wasn't included on the main album, because thematically and tempo-wise it isn't very fitting. However I think it's a great bonus song, and I'd say based on this outcome that it's somewhat underrated.

^ dont argue with that it’s certainly the song ive played the least
I have grown to love that song it’s now one of my favourites although originally it was one of my least favourites. The beat has really grown on me and the lyrics are so empowering. Really think this should have been her song for the Sink the pink over high heels fits so much better!
I should have re-done my votes before it was closed so I'm keeping my mouth schtum in this thread for now at least :)

13th - 6.147 - Touch Me

Highest Score: 8.5 - JosephStyles

Lowest Score: 1 - ilovepollo

Another track that is exclusive to the Deluxe CD - Melanie C's faithful cover version of the 2001 #1 dance classic Touch Me, originally by Rui da Silva and Cassandra. It offers a glimpse at the sort of artist Melanie could have become in the early 2000s, had she decided to continue in a dance direction following the #1 success of I Turn to You.

I like touch me a lot and wouldnt be against it being released to radio in the summer. Its production is quite on trend , i think radio 2 would probably A playlist it and could gain some attention.

A cover could work for Melanie.

12th - 6.412 - High Heels

Highest Scores: 9.5 - Voodoo | 9 - vibe

Lowest Scores: 0 - engineer | 4 - spiceboy

Fresh off the back of the Spice Girls' 2019 tour, Melanie C performed at Pride festivals around the world with drag performers Sink the Pink. It was during these sets that Melanie gave fans the first taste of new material with High Heels, a high energy pop song about an amazing night out. For reasons unknown High Heels didn't end up making the cut for 'Melanie C' the album, however the Moto Blanco remix was included on the deluxe CD. Judging by its position in this rate, it seems that most of us are not too fussed about its exclusion.

I actually find it a cute girl. It's innofensive and fun, that's all B-)

High Heels has grown on me the most and now i love it.

Non fans seem to like it !

11th - 6.559 - Escape

Highest Scores: 11 - SouthernStar88 | 9 - ilovepollo

Lowest Scores: 3 - spiceboy | 5 - Andrew., RobBot MBE

The first song to leave from the main standard 10 track album is Escape, a stripped-back electro ballad. Interestingly the word 'escape' is only mentioned once in the entire song, as the last word of the first verse. The most repeated phrase in this song is 'let it go'! This is the first song we've lost that was given a score of 11, but otherwise only two other voters considered Escape to be worthy of a score of 8 or more.

By the way, does anybody remember if there's any particular interviews where Melanie C talks about the different tracks on this album? It would be helpful for my commentaries, but I couldn't find anything where she talks about Escape? Any help would be greatly appreciated
On the live stream show she said Escape was one of her favourites.

Yeah and Jools Holland said it was one of his favourites too... I can't believe I have it a 3! :o

It's definitely grown on me more since then I'd probably rate it 5 now as an average track but nothing special.

I think there is something on iTunes... Track by track
