The sound created stars like me and you

| 04 // Sine From Above // 8.82

In fourth place we have the first track on the final act of the album. Teaming up with Elton John, this song explores the power of music to heal. Before the music there is silence and no love, but once the music is heard there is healing and power and beautiful unity between people. It is an electronica-influenced electropop song with a drum n' bass breakdown and soaring vocals throughout. It is the pair's second duet ('Hello, Hello' from 2011 anyone?) and the collaboration has come out of a beautiful friendship between the two artists and particularly Elton helping Gaga to heal throughout her career. A stripped down version of the song appears on the video campaign for Valentino's Voce Viva fragrance. On Spotify Gaga stated: "This song is the revelation I had during the album making process that reminded me it is actually the root of all my revelations. Sine is a function that expresses sound. I open a portal to the other realm whenever I write a song, a portal that is a conduit for sound and language. This song is about not only my music making process, but also about how I survive. I survive through music. I always have, and no matter how much I change or things change around me, that is always still true. Sound is my god."

I love this song SO MUCH. Even moreso when you consider the lyrical power it contains and how TRUE it is that music has the power to save people and heal them. Everything about it is perfection - the best album track for me easily
I always wanted Gaga to have a song with Elton, as he's my fav male artist of all time, and I'm glad she did it.

| 03 // Babylon // 9.41

A pretty huge jump in average score for this as we enter the top 3! 'Babylon' is the final track on the standard edition of the album. She sings of dancing through the pain and celebrating her journey. What used to haunt her, the gossip and whispers around her, can now be danced through. The song became an immediate favourite for fans during early listen throughs and it doesn't seem to have wavered since then, amassing a huge average here and the bronze medal. A second version of the song exists: one entirely produced by BloodPop® alone (without Burns), known as Haus Labs Version. It was confirmed to be released in the future but who knows if it ever will. The instrumental of the alternate version was used in Haus Laboratories' Our Haus, Your Rules commerical. On Spotify Gaga stated: "This is the dance celebration of the culmination of this album, but it's really the start that occurs after every finish. When we've completed a task or defeated a challenge, the end is not the end. This is a new journey, and in Chromatica I will dance my way through all the pain, and every transition I make is into a new me, which is consistently a miracle. I vow to always have something to celebrate. And frankly gossip is the hallmark of civilization. Two people can't talk behind each other's backs, you need at least three people. And something that used to haunt me - gossip - is now a silly construct I can dance through. Babble on. I'll be in Babylon. Or Chromatica."

I'm surprised this is as high as it is! Great song but I would've assumed the likes of 911/Stupid Love/Sine From Above would be ahead of this?? Guess it's difficult to hate and it is a great song in it's own right

This shit, better than Babylon, aka one of the best songs of her career?

Babylon is how you masterfully close an album! The song had to be there and luckily it was there.
Now I want ROM as the next runner-up and Alice at the top, although I think the results will be the opposite of that since Ariana's a buzzjack darling.

well it was a SINGLE with a music video so I'd think that would push it above some of her unpromoted album tracks. Not saying one is better than the other but you'd think it would be higher based on promotion.

Also yes ready to see Rain On Me Tsunami win this!
