I'm hyped! I really hope they don't focus too heavily on 'H' this series...it's getting very dragged out now. I'd rather it was put on the back burner and focus on the new characters / settings.
Part of this series was shot outside my parent's house (I was there when they were filming), so I will be looking out for that.

Literally the first scene of the series!

Great first episode! I don't trust anyone :drama: can't wait to see how it all develops, looks like a really interesting plotline.

Definitely can’t trust anyone! I feel coming out of that first episode that Davidson is being stitched up by her partner but maybe that’s what we’re meant to think :drama:

Bit more of a low-key first episode than what we’re used to but I’m also glad it was largely centred around the new storyline rather than focusing on ‘H’.

It's so weird to me that it was this time last year in lockdown that my sister made me binge the show  It's the most excited I've been for a British series like this in a while I think. A great show and the chemistry between the 3 leads... amazing.

Loving the potential in this storyline! I can't wait to find out where this is all leading to but I just know to expect the unexpected, but at the same time... not TOO unexpecting. :drama: Although, I'm fairly positive that Davidson is being stitched up, but I don't think it's by her partner. I reckon it's someone else, possibly the main guy - but like I said... no point in theorising coz it'll just get debunked in 2 episodes lmaoooo - it's why I love this show

The opening episode was far more early Line of Duty than recent seasons. I feel H will come out at some point, but not yet although there were mild links today but not as in your face e.g. this guy (can't remember his name) whose suspected of the murder is linked to organised crime. Kate has always been my suspect to be H, so I'm throwing that one out there again if it rings true.

Can't quite workout what is going on yet, but definitely something dodgy about Kelly Macdonald and probably the rest of MIT.

I'm honestly so pleased not to even have a reference to 'H' in episode 1. It felt a lot more like Line of Duty of old rather than the convoluted H mess of series 5.

I definitely feel immediately suspicious of everyone, particularly Farida. But like Klaus says, they've probably written it for us to be immediately suspicious of Farida's intentions. Definitely excited and ready for more from this series and to see where this develops.

Low-key... same.

But I really, REALLY hope not. I love the main 3 too much!

Is that just off the Antrim Rd? Was hard to tell from the pictures! The flat looked like Cregagh flats too!

Obviously this episode is setting everything up for the rest of the series so hard to say much yet but definitely intrigued to see what's coming next. My claim to fame is that the actor playing Terry Boyle lives in Winchester and used to come into the Library as a service user for a LD charity while I was working there!

Interesting to see Kate has left AC12. Theory below in spoilers

I think from what's implied in the trailer that Kate might be killed off this series. If she's not undercover then from a cruel Jed Mercurio style writer perspective then the wider story doesn't "need" her any more and that will be what motivates Steve to stay in anti-corruption to hunt down her killer. Now watch this be wildly wrong!

Buckles now being a Chief Superintendent despite being useless also make me highly suspicious!

There's a theory that

Chloe is Tony Gates' daughter, but I'm not sure if she'd be old enough?

Series 1 takes place in 2012 and his daughters were in Secondary School I think so maybe!

Jed Mercurio has been really coy to whether there will even be a series 7 if you read his interviews recently too.. so maybe this could also be the final series. Something to ponder.
