The nominations for the 2025 Golden Globes will be unveiled on December 9, 2024.

I don't know about Oscar period because it's only in March and it's more politican now than ever but I always have been a fan of Golden Globes Award.

Due the fact how media tells about Better Man I wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3 nominations in 2 weeks.

You maybe know, that GG devides Drama and Comedy in two different parts, so there are more chances to see that name.

Anyway, at least in the beginning of November Forbidden Road has been ranked as Number 4 in GG ratings:

Anyway!!

Even just thinking about ANY nominations at such important awards and all of these news of many many festivals for Better Man make me SO happy for Rob!!

How nervous we were about the movie this summer... And how we reliable on this now..! Even before watching :))

I would love to hear Guy's thoughts on the movie

I came across this interview that Guy did with Esquire magazine in November 2023 , at the very end he said that he & Rob were working on an unnamed musical together so it got me thinking that it might be for Better Man The movie itself took seven years to make so maybe they have also been working on the stage musical

The duo then worked on the music for the stage adaptation of David Walliam’s The Boy In The Dress, and continued their successful music partnership on Williams’ albums, subsequent tours for The Heavy Entertainment Show Under the Radar Volume 1, 2 and 3. In 2019, they collaborated on festive album The Christmas Present. Most recently, Chambers revealed that he and Williams were working on another as-yet unnamed musical together.

I suppose we are doing a mistake do not open a separate topic of 'Forbidden Road' :)

Interesting review and reaction on this song. It has been a good song from the beginning (Telluride Fest) but it's growing and growing.

The music for The boy in the dress was so good - it's a shame covid stopped any chance of that show reaching the West End

Yes I loved it Laura, it was really special & they wrote the songs in just two weeks.

Yes for Guy! :)

It's great to see there at one of the most important day for Robbie.

Very important they have shared this day together!

I would have liked to have seen a photo of the two of them together at the event -Guy is such a massive piece of Robbie's story

He's always so supportive of him.

Guy is like an older brother & I guess he understands Rob like a brother " warts & all "

Robbie Williams, in front of the mirror of his 'biopic': "I've been humble to the point of self-laceration"

Madrid, Dec 3 (EFE).- The rise, fall and rehabilitation of Robbie Williams on the artistic level and, above all, on the personal level are the focus of 'Better Man', the film that narrates above all his kamikaze struggle to touch the stars through a successful character even if inside he waged a fight against himself. "I'm a kind and empathetic person, basically the opposite of that character I created for myself... And I'm quite humble, but humble to the point of self-laceration," the British performer and composer told EFE during his visit to Madrid in the face of the terrible portrait he arrives at at some points in the film. In that film about his life, directed by Michael Gracey ('The Greatest Showman'), which he voices and which will be released in early 2025, Williams is literally portrayed as a chimpanzee based on how he looked all the time: a comedian unable to take himself seriously at any time but who at the same time desperately dreamed of being someone. "That impulsive chimpanzee used to drive the car, but now he's in the back seat, because it's someone else who's driving. Even today I have to protect myself against self-sabotage all the time, but with better results than before," says the author of 'Angels', which brings to the fore the absolute process of decline and dependence on alcohol and drugs in which he fell at only 21 years old. As he defines it, "'Better Man' perfectly encapsulates an existential crisis" that is born in large part from wanting to impress others, especially his father, "an incredible and charismatic" artist from whom he inherited his passion for Frank Sinatra. "I grew up around cabaret and show business and, subconsciously, I understood what it took to be an artist. But that's also tricky when you're so young and you become famous, because you get lost in so many different ways," he analyzes what led him to get lost in quick evasions. INTERVIEW WITH BRITISH PERFORMER AND COMPOSER, ROBBIE WILLIAMS; AND DIRECTOR MICHAEL GRACEY, ON THE OCCASION OF THE RELEASE OF THE FILM 'BETTER MAN'.
