Welcome to the weekly ACR Status Updates thread! This is where you can find out the current streaming ratios of the songs in the official top 100. Please note - I don't receive information every single week, so if no thread materialises, there's no use nagging me - it means I genuinely don't know the status of any songs! Updates can also materialise at any point over the weekend but I'll always try to ensure I do it before the First Look chart update if I receive the necessary information.

If you're wondering what ACR and SCR are, here's a quick reminder:

SCR = Standard Chart Ratio. All songs enter the chart on SCR, which means their streams count at the following ratios:

100 premium streams = 1 sale (e.g. a premium Spotify account, Apple Music, Tidal, etc)

600 ad-funded streams = 1 sale (e.g. free Spotify, YouTube, etc)

ACR = Accelerated Chart Ratio. Once a song has charted for at least 10 weeks, and declines in streams for three consecutive weeks, it is put onto ACR. This means its streams are effectively HALVED, and count at the following ratios:

200 premium streams = 1 sale

1200 ad-funded streams = 1 sale

Songs older than 3 years old are automatically on ACR.

The terminology used in this thread will be the official terminology used by the OCC. The explanations are posted in each update to assist you.

Nothing from the current top 40 moving to ACR this time then, but five of them are just one week away as it stands.

I just hope The Business & Goosebumps can increase streamings this week.

On the other hand, Arcade can say goodbye ASAP. We need 2021 Eurovision songs in the charts, not a 2-year-old (dated and boring imo).

ALL of those on DCL-2 seriously need to go now... Arcade less so much but it’s had its time to shine.
I think it would still feel a little early for Save Your Tears!

I agree it still feels too early, also would be such a shame to see it only peak at #11

I don't see Save Your Tears making it to the top 10 now so ACR feels right, it's peaked and an extra 3 weeks would only see it move further away from the top 10 I think.
Yeah I agree that I don't see it going top ten sadly but it's only been in the chart for ten weeks!

I'm a little sad that 'Save Your Tears' stalled so close to the top 10 but really just happy that it didn't end up slipping under the radar entirely as an album track as it looked like it would for a long time - and it ended up outpeaking 'In Your Eyes' and nearly matching 'Heartless' which is really good for a late stage post-album single from someone not named Ed Sheeran or Harry Styles. It's had its chance and certainly is a pretty old song at this point so regrettably have to concede it is about the time for it to go to ACR x (also it went top 5 in the US which is more important anyway xx)

Meanwhile, 'Martin & Gina' is still trucking along - at this stage I am really rooting for it to beat the top 100 weeks record for a non top 50 hit currently held by 'Jumpman' :cheeseblock:

Would feel to early for ‘Save Your Tears’ to be ACR in 2 weeks but that’s because I’m biased and still love the track despite listening to it a lot since Christmas!

One pet hate of the chart in this era is the dramatic falls once acr hits it basically means songs climb to a peak then just sit in and around the same position until a dramatic fall on acr and for songs like ‘Save Your Tears’ it’s position means it’ll likely fall straight out of the top 40.

Wouldn't mind Goosebumps or Arcade sticking around a little bit longer either, but The Business and Get Out My Head have been knocking around since November I think so time for them to go for sure! I'm glad Don't Play managed to increase as that's providing something a little different in the top 10 currently.
Thanks for this thread. Can I ask why Ryn Weaver is going on ACR next week when the track is only on its 3rd week in top 100?

It's over three years old. It got reset to SCR a few weeks ago (presumably by request?) and it's already declined for three consecutive weeks since!

The Ryn Weaver song is over 3 years old which means it was automatically on ACR regardless of having never previously entered the chart, it was just granted a manual reset to SCR 3 weeks ago.

edit: coi beat me to it

Thanks - I didn’t think that songs over 3 years can get reset at all, as they refused Mariah, but guess that’s a rule which is applied at the whim of the OCC.

They tend to grant the resets for songs that haven't been hits before - Train Wreck and Good As Hell are two particularly notable examples. I assume their justification for Mariah was that it had already been a big hit.
