March 26, 20215 yr 07 | 03 | 2nd week KSI featuring YUNGBLUD and Polo G Patience 2nd single from forthcoming studio album Released: 12th March 2021 Label: Beerus Chart Statistics NE (25/03/2021) | 3-7 Sales: 30k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 02 Sales 05 Audio Streaming 01 Video Streaming Video MrfU4aTcUaM Biography British rapper KSI made as much of a name for himself with his online videos and boxing as he did with his music, but the multi-faceted entertainer wore many hats as he built his empire of one. He moved from satirical songs in his earliest days into more nuanced songwriting and production on his breakthrough 2015 single "Lamborghini," refining his sound even more on subsequent projects like the venomous 2018 EP Disstracktions. Born Olajide Olatunji, KSI was known as KSIOlajideBT in 2008 when he became a regular video game commentator, uploading his videos to the web, most of them focused on the FIFA series. It was a footballer who inspired him to try his hand at rap as Emile Heskey was the topic of "Heskey Time," a satirical rap that kicked off a series of football-mocking songs, including 2012's "Sweaty Goals" with Randolph. In 2013 he joined rapper Sway on his single "No Sleep," and in 2014 he appeared on producer Droideka's track "Get Hyper." In 2015 he dropped his own track, "Lamborghini" featuring P-Money, along with "Keep Up," which was also the title cut for 2016's debut KSI EP. His book KSI: I Am a Bellend appeared that same year and was released under the title KSI: I Am a Tool in the United States. He was briefly signed to Island Records but cut ties with the label after the release of 2016 EP Jump Around. The next several years found KSI staying busy with content creating, boxing, and a growing music career, working independently to trickle out singles like 2017's "Creature" and projects like the 2018 EP Disstracktions. He became more involved in boxing, escalating beefs with other online video creators into full-on white-collar boxing matches. Particularly spectacular was his dispute with American Internet personality and occasional music-maker Logan Paul. In 2019, KSI signed a deal with RBC Records, immediately issuing his first single "Down Like That" on November 7 of that year. The song featured cameo appearances from Rick Ross, S-X, and Lil Baby and peaked at number ten on the U.K. Singles Chart. He followed this success with second single, "Wake Up Call," featuring Trippie Redd, in January of 2020. His debut full-length, Dissimulation, arrived in May of that year. Featuring collaborators from Jeremih to Offset, the album demonstrated the musician's skill on the mike, as well as his proficiency in genres from trap to Afro-swing. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History KSI 2015 30 Lamborghini (feat. March 26, 20215 yr 06 | 08 | 4th week Joel Corry, RAYE and David Guetta BED Non-album single Released: 26th February 2021 Label: Perfect Havoc Chart Statistics NE (11/03/2021) | 20-17-8-6 Sales: 60k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 07 Sales 11 Audio Streaming 52 Video Streaming Video mD2a9YzKV3w Biography Joel Corry “Back Again” might seem like a strange title for a debut single, but not for Joel Corry: When the British DJ/producer dropped his first record in 2015, he was already well known to UK audiences from his appearances on the MTV reality show Geordie Shore. While that program captured its cast members’ romantic misadventures with tongue firmly in cheek, Corry has treated his musical career with far more seriousness, faithfully updating the sounds of classic house with a sleek contemporary touch. Born in London in 1989, Corry was just a boy when the slinky sounds of UK garage catapulted underground dance music into British pop around the turn of the millennium, but he brings the same crossover spirit to his own productions. While 2015’s “Back Again” and “Light It Up” flirted with big-room EDM, Corry looked to the past for his breakout hit, a 2019 cover of Monsta Boy’s 2000 UK garage classic “Sorry” that paired soulful vocals with crisp, jittery drum programming. He’s pursued a similar approach on subsequent singles like “Lonely” and “Head & Heart”, updating the piano chords and organ stabs of ’90s dance pop with 21st-century production values. While Corry’s timeless hooks are perfect for radio, he’s careful to always have something special for the dance floor. As he told Apple Music: “With all my records I like to do my own VIP mix”—that is, a club-ready version that’s a little tougher and heavier. With reality TV in the rearview, these days Corry’s simply keeping it real. - Apple Music RAYE Croydon, South London-based R&B singer Rachel Keen (aka RAYE) started her career at the age of ten, guided by her father and her guitar teacher. Her interest in music quickly led to small charity gigs and bouts of singing at her local church. By 2012, RAYE had enrolled in the prestigious BRIT school for music and singing, spending two years perfecting her craft, but she left in 2014 due to the limitations she was being taught and the desire to create her own rules. The following year, RAYE released her debut EP, Welcome to the Winter. The lead single, "Hotbox," was noticed by Olly Alexander (Years & Years) on Hype Machine; he got in touch with RAYE to discuss music, and arranged a meeting with the A&R department at Polydor. With major-label backing, RAYE kept busy in 2016, including co-writing her single "I, U, US" alongside Charli XCX, appearing as a guest vocalist on Jonas Blue's "By Your Side" single, and releasing the SECOND EP. She was back working with Charli XCX the following year, guesting on the singer's tracks "Girls" and "Dreamer." RAYE also delivered her own single, "The Line." The singles "Check" (with Kojo Funds) and "Cigarette" (with Mabel and Stefflon Don) were released in 2018. The following year saw RAYE issue the emotionally charged single "Love Me Again." - Apple Music David Guetta From his early days playing Chicago house in French discotheques to his long reign atop the pop charts, David Guetta has revolutionised dance music multiple times. Born in Paris in 1967, Guetta began DJing in the late ’80s, when the shimmery sound known as the “French touch” was taking shape. By the early 2000s, at his F*** Me I’m Famous parties in Ibiza, he had translated that melodic style into a clever merger of pop sass and club swagger. He parlayed that mix into pure platinum with hits like 2003’s “Just for One Day”, an energy-stoking rework of David Bowie’s “Heroes”, and 2002’s “Just a Little More Love”, a sultry bump-and-grind featuring R&B singer Chris Willis. That versatility—along with a knack for killer hooks—would become one of Guetta’s principal calling cards, and as EDM exploded across pop culture at the end of the 2000s, Guetta’s shapeshifting style led the way, yielding ecstatic affirmations (“When Love Takes Over”), feisty come-ons (“Sexy Bitch”) and unstoppable singalongs (The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”, which Guetta produced). Since then, his collaborations (Sia, Nicki Minaj) have kept listeners guessing even as his choruses—triumphant as a bottle of bubbly blowing its top—have proven one of pop’s most dependable pleasures. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Joel Corry 2019 06 Sorry -NAS- MILLIONAIRE 2020 04 Lonely -NAS- 2020 01 Head & Heart (feat. March 26, 20215 yr I actually wouldn't be bothered if this has already peaked. Love the original and Breaking Me was great, but this isn't really doing it for me after repeated listens. Same, the novelty of the ATB sample has worn off now. Happy for this to start dropping now. Yay at Hold On going top 10. Strongest single of his as of late.
March 26, 20215 yr Patience is so much better than I had expected based on the artist involved! Yungblud's relevancy continues :P
March 26, 20215 yr 05 | 04 | 19th week Tiësto The Business Non-album single Released: 25th September 2020 Label: Musical Freedom Label Chart Statistics NE (26/11/2020) | 83-82-88-91-72-90-86-31-21-16-14-11-7-6-4-4-3-4-5 Sales: 300k+ Certification: Silver Status: Standard Chart Ratio 02 Sales 04 Audio Streaming 14 Video Streaming Video nCg3ufihKyU Biography Born Tijs Michiel Verwest in the small Dutch city of Breda in 1969, Tiësto went on to become more than just a world-famous electronic musician—he largely created the model for a powerhouse DJ in the 21st century. He got his start in the mid-’80s, when the skeletal sounds of Belgian new beat ruled Holland’s clubs, but it was trance—sleeker and more emotive—that moved him. His first proper DJ mix , 1997’s Magik One (First Flight), showcases his signature style in dreamy synth melodies drawn out above tough but streamlined drum grooves. As trance’s foremost ambassador, he pioneered stadium raving with solo DJ concerts in sports arenas; in 2004, he played for millions at the Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Athens. And his Club Life weekly radio show and mix series, one of trance’s premier global platforms, became synonymous with the genre itself. But you don’t become the world’s No. 1 DJ by sitting still. By 2011’s Club Life: Volume One Las Vegas, Tiësto was following through on a shift that had begun with his 2009 album, Kaleidoscope, a blend of high-energy trance and airy pop melodies that heralded the next big rave revolution: EDM. With 2014’s A Town Called Paradise, he made good on EDM’s anything-goes promise with a collection encompassing soaring toplines, massive drops, and other big-room thrills without turning his back on the aching melodies that made his name. As the decade drew to a close, playful collabs with a new generation of producers who had come up in his wake—The Chainsmokers, Oliver Heldens, DJ Snake, Hardwell—only served to confirm his versatility and cement his legacy. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 1999 97 Theme From Norefjell (DJ Tiësto) -NAS- 2001 56 Flight 643 (DJ Tiësto) -1- 2001 22 Suburban Train/Urban Train (DJ Tiësto) -2- 2002 25 Lethal Industry (DJ Tiësto) -3- 2002 36 643 (Love's On Fire) (DJ Tiësto feat.
