'It's Nice to Have A Friend' is a weird one. I can't make my mind up on whether I love it or not lmao.

I think this first 9 songs on Speak Now are amazing (excluding Dear John) which I feel is a real low point amongst such great songs.

Dear John deserved way better :cry: It's always been quite a fan fave but buzzjack have never been massive on it so this isn't too shocking. it being the lowest song in the rate from Speak Now though :cry: A beautiful track <3 (even if it is slightly too long)

 

It's Nice To Have A Friend is also cute af, I don't go back to it too much but its a lovely little song <3 I love how it's something different & unexpected but there's something so comforting about it, I love its use in the trailer for abominable! However unlike Dear John, this has def overperformed compared to the Swifties opinions of it. In the fandom I acc think it's possibly worse-regarded than me! :o (& is seen as one of her worst songs ever)

 

The other 3, bye. I Almost Do is nice enough & maybe should've been about 10/20 places higher but it's Red filler I don't really return to. The 2 Fearless deluxe tracks, meh.

So in this section we have Taylor's most streamed song (on spotify) ever, a bonus track BOP, the weakest song on one of her best albums, another crap remix & something which is a stain on her discography & album. All 5 songs are also incredibly close in averages!

Let's start of in 155th palace with the 2nd Speak Now cut to leave (and so nearly being the first damn it) in the form of 'Innocent', which is about Kanye. The song just drags AND drags AND drags. The chorus annoys me. Idek why I hate this song so much. But it's the only Taylor song I hate. Should be lower but at least my -1 knocked it down 20 places :cheer: Aside from my -1 & a couple of 9's/9.5, this received mostly averaged score. The 2nd song I probs gave the lowest rate to is the RFI BloodPop Remix which I gave a 1. Though tbf maybe I was a lil harsh (probs more like a 3 & a couple worse songs in this rate than it) but its just noise. The breakdown doesn't work at all. I was hoping for a blissful remix like BloodPop's Capital Letters but nope we got that. meh, pass. I'm kinda surprised it came so high, I thought that and the CB remix of YNTCD would be close together. The score breakdown is basically the exact same as innocent, not me being a #FlopMod giving both of them their lowest scores

Now onto a song I really love and is underrated af, the worldwide smash from the fifty shades series, I Don't Wanna Live Forever :heart: Tbf this has probably overperformed here after coming dead last in the last forum singles rate, but however this time round it manages to beat Me!ssT in terms of hit singles & quite a few of the irrelevant non-album singles that were also in that rate. I acc like ZAYN's vocals on this song (unlike most) but Taylor steals this song and I live for her vocals in the bridge <3 I remember being SHOOK when this dropped, it was completely out of nowhere and there was like no rumours at all!! I listened to this so many times on release day & tbh I still go back to it more than I'd expect <3 It looked like 2016 was gonna be the first year with zero new Taylor music but this came along *.* I also adore the production and its more great work from Jack Antonoff *.* A fab song and deserved better here! This received a 10 (I gave it a 9.5 but probs should've given it a 10) but quite a few 4's & a 2 brings it down.

Let's round this section off with the first reputation album track to leave in forms of So It Goes..., which is pretty much seen as the ultimate filler on Rep so no surprise to see it leave this early. I do really like it and its grown on me overtime, but yeah its definitely doesn't have much on the rest of the epic album. Also THIS being my surprise song on the Rep Tour still frustrates me today, of all the amazing songs from her discography that could've been our surprise performance, we got this :cry: though at least we were one of the first audiences to hear Rep in full x Aside from a 10 from Taylor mod RFI, this really shows its status as a filler in its rate scores all being between 5 and 8.5. Just missing the top 150 is a song I gave a 10 too :cry: I ADORE Girl At Home so much and it deserved to make the main album x It's such a cute bop, I love the lyrics, its just a simple catchy bop and I always love listening to it. Tbh I was expecting it to be lower here but seeing it so close to the top 150 and just missing is frustrating :cry: Unsurprisingly I was the highest scorer & quite a lot of 5's brought its average down.

No great loses for me either to be honest. I think innocent is quite a nice song and I don’t skip it but don’t think I’d ever listen to the Zayn and Taylor song again unless I was forced to. I don’t mind the Ready for it remix but I think that’s because I really like the original and as has been mentioned, at the end of the day, this is just another crap remix.

So as I said above, we have many era's losing songs here. 7 to be exact. As you can see above, we have 10 era's in and the only ones to lose zero songs yet are 1989/folklore/evermore. I can reveal of the 7 era's represented in the ten next songs, at least one era that's already lost a song between 151-186 isn't going to appear. I think it must be time for folklore/evermore to lose their first songs, can't see 'peace' or 'closure' staying for too much longer. Maybe they're 2 of the albums that lose 1 song each section? :thinking:
