Just realised I never commented my thoughts on the last section!

The Outside is one that I always think is self-titled filler but I always bop to it when I hear it. You Are In Love is really nice but not a discography highlight. Though considering how beloved 1989 is on this site, I am SHOCKED its lost a song anywhere near this early :o Both of those probs fell around where I'd rank them

Stay Stay Stay & Gorgeous are both trashy bops that are far too hated on by the fanbase. I'd probs have both slightly higher but I think both would miss my top 100. Though I'm lowkey surprised both didn't finish about 20 places lower here.

Though lyrics which could cut glass lives rent free in my head. ICONIC. I wish I used that as part of the hint for that section

Paper Rings is SUCH a bop and deserved higher, even though I did think it'd fall out sooner rather than later (but maybe not this soon) :( I feel I'd love it more if it was on like Red than Lover can't lie tho :kink: It's spotify streams are so good for an album track that's not insanely high up on the tracklist!! This could've acc been a potential hit single

136. Today Was A Fairytale [Avg. 7.03]
137. Sweeter Than Fiction [Avg. 7.00 (more 10's)]
138. State Of Grace (Acoustic) [Avg. 7.00 (less 10s)]
139. A Place In This World [Avg. 6.97]
140. Lover Remix (ft. Shawn Mendes) [Avg. 6.97]

For this section, we have 2 singles, a single remix, an acoustic from a deluxe, deluxe and another self-titled song. This is now the 5th section in a row a song from Red has appeared, and the third section in a row a song from self-titled has appeared :o

First out is the remix of Loser featuring Shawn Mendes high-key poor vocals on it & some really bad new lyrics. I spammed this for like a week and then I saw clearly and realised how bad it was. This came LAST on the ATRL Rate of her entire discography, and it deserves way lower than it finished here. I am disgusted at some of the gems it's beaten. This got a 10 from Joseph (showing a lack of taste as ever x), whilst John-James & myself managed to drag this down significantly with a 2 & 1 :kink:

Moving swiftly on, we have another self-titled album cut with 'A Place In This World'. I ADORE this song & its one of the album cut highlights. Deserved better. It's just such a cute bop and I really love the lyrics, its v. fitting for a first era and hopefully some of y'all made a good discovery out of this <3 It received 9's from myself & London but received a lot of 4's to 6's.

Into 138th and we cross an average of 7 :cheer: Fab to see SO many songs have an average bigger than that!! And yep we lose another song from Red, however this time were back to the deluxe version with the acoustic of the album's opener State of Grace. It's a nice enough version but it really lacks the oomph of the original & doesn't do much for me. It doesn't work amazingly as a slowed down song & should be lower here + I'm also surprised it did this well. This received many scores between 5 & 9 so its fitting it's average falls slap bang in the middle of that.

In 137th we have A TIMELESS MASTERPIECE AND Y'ALL BETTER START PUTTING SOME RESPECT ON SWEETER THAN FICTION. What. a. bop. It's def in my top 40 Taylor songs ever, I really love it so so much. The song just eludes so much joy. I always scream-sing this so loudly and it just makes me smile & is one of her most uplifting songs <3 This is the first of 2 soundtrack singles in a row to bridge the gaps between era's, this was released in 2013 and was the soundtrack single from One Chance (yes the BGT winner Paul Potts biopic starring James Cordon). I remember seeing the film JUST so I could hear sweeter than fiction in a cinema :kink: (and it sounded amazing x and the film was surprisingly good x). I've played this so much & its one of the first iTunes songs I bought on my first iPhone so yep more mems <3 I still go back to it regularly & I'm really hoping it'll pop up on the 1989 re-recordings & maybe more of y'all will appreciate it x It deserves top 100 at the minimum :( Just pure pop magic <3 I always used to think this peaked top 25 officially in the UK but it missed the top 40, a crime :( Unsurprisingly, I was by far the highest scorer with a 10, with a mixed range of scores from others.

Also y'all better respect it more as its the first song Jack Antonoff & Taylor worked on together!! And one of the first 5 songs Jack produced that wasn't for Fun. So without Sweeter Than Fiction, y'all wouldn't have the 1989 gems, half of rep, the highlights on lover, and folkmore masterpieces. So #RespectSweeterThanFiction starts now x

And finishing off this section we have the first track to appear on Fearless (Taylor's Version). (out today. go stream. go buy. go promote.). And ironically, its the only non-new track on that album that wasn't originally on Fearless :kink: We lose another soundtrack single as Today Was A Fairytale from Valentine's Day departs here! The song was an immediate success in the US in its first week, with Valentine's Day being a box office smash + the buzz of Taylor x2 relationship! It actually peaked at 2 in America, and always stands out so much for the company its alongside, so many big hits & then this :kink: It's nice enough but probs should've finished lower imo, though however I've been stanning it more than usual today with the new version :kink: It's very end credits to a film that you'd hear in the background. It's probs the most divisive song in this section, receiving a 10 from Jktoon but also multiple 4's!

HINTS FOR 136 to 140:

Here's the place in this forum for some more hints! One song appeared on an album released today! One song is an unnecessary stain on her discography & came LAST in the ATRL rate of her entire discography. It's definitely true that one appears in this section! And its the first appearance of 2 for another song.

What 5 songs are leaving :o

will be coming later tonight!

Hint breakdown time!:

first sentence - 'place in this forum' = a place in this world

album released today = today was a fairytale

unnecessary stain = lover remix

it's definitely true - true means it ain't fiction = sweeter than fiction

first appearance of 2 = state of grace

I'm not too sure about the others, but thinking this one is a Red Demo/Acoustic? Gonna guess State of Grace (Acoustic)!

And of course something from Fearless for the one that appeared on an album released today :cheer:

Yep you nailed State Of Grace!! :cheer: :cheer:

And oops it wasn't :kink: :kink: I was hoping I'd trip someone up with that one :kink:

HINTS FOR 131 to 135:

One album takes a bleeding!! (Three songs leaving from it!!) (What album will it be!!)

Also, will Self-Titled and Red continue their streaks of continuing to appear in each section being revealed atm :o guess yes or no!

Probably should've rated Lover Remix a bit more harshly. It's just an unnecessary, worse version of a great song! And 'A Place in this World' is definitely one of the better songs on debut for me, but I still don't go back to it that often.

And oops it wasn't :kink: :kink: I was hoping I'd trip someone up with that one :kink:

Omg oops :kink: I mean technically a version of Today was a Fairytale is on Fearless (Taylor's Version) so i'll take it

A Place in the World is great. One of the highlights of the first album.

I am grateful that Sweeter Than Fiction led to such great, great things. I feel educated and will for sure pay it the respect it deserves for this. However.... the song its self is sadly a bit of a miss for me. Maybe if I’d listened at the time of release, I’d have more appreciation for it. As you speak so passionately about it though, I’ll give it another couple of listens ;)

I think Today Was a Fairytale is awesome. Very happy to see it on Fearless Taylor’s version!

And I agree with MrAndrewMan: I don’t know why I gave the lover remix such a high score. I think it’s cause I felt guilty and over compensated for not giving the original version one of my 11s. Lol

I love your clues !! Wish I could guess. More guesses!!!

I'm going to guess 'Fearless' and yes (mainly because I can't see debut not losing any more songs for a whole section!) :cheer:

I'm shocked that folklore/evermore still haven't lost anything though! I could be wrong but I don't think one of those would lose 3 at once so that's why I went with Fearless.

HINTS FOR 131 to 135:

I'll be posting the next 5 later tonight. Any more predictions?

#135-#131:

135. Holy Ground [Avg. 7.07]
134. Jump Then Fall [Avg. 7.083]
133. Change [Avg. 7.088]
132. I’m Only Me When I’m With You [Avg. 7.111]
131. The Way I Loved You [Avg. 7.117]

In this section, we say goodbye to three tracks from Fearless! Red also loses another track, as does Taylor Swift. Folklore and Evermore are still yet to lose even one track. When will their time come?

First out is a song from Red - Holy Ground - at number 135. This song scored mostly 6s, 7s and 8s although Dexton and Ho-Lee Smokes both gave a low score of 4 whilst Jay, Tafty and Nina West gave a high of 8.5.

Jump then fall comes next at number 134. Originally the opening track on the album, this has been pushed to much later in the album on Taylor’s version. This song is nice enough and has a pretty catchy chorus but isn’t one I feel compelled to listen to regularly. It scored a low of 5 from Jktoon and a high of 9.5 from DionTheSats123 and Joseph Styles.

At 133 comes Change. Taylor originally wrote this song about her hopes and aspirations for success and change when she was first signed by a small recording agency. On the night Taylor’s version of Fearless dropped, she quoted a lyric from Change on Twitter: ‘It was the night things changed.’ According to some sites I looked at, fans believe that even though the song was originally written about Taylor’s hard work with Scott Borchetta and Big Machine, in Taylor’s version it takes on a whole new meaning: it was the night she took back control of her music. I think I rated this track too harshly. Whether it is because of the new meaning or it’s just growing on me the more I listen to it, I think I’d give it an 8 or a 9 now. This song did actually receive a 10 from Qween, with a low score of 4 from JKtoon.

Next is I’m Only Me When I’m With You, at 132, apparently written about her best friend Abigail Anderson. This was given a wide range of scores, including two 10s from DionTheSats123 and Ultra. I enjoy this song - a real country bop - but I don’t really have a lot more to say about it. Perhaps Ultra can fill you in with more. The lowest score was a 4 from Jade.

And lastly, The Way I Loved You is at number 131. Honestly, I find this song a bit dull. It scored a lot of 7s. It has a high score of 10 from Jktoon and a low of 4 from Jade.

One fab song, one bop and 3 fillers there

And oops on the week of Fearless (Taylors's Version) release, the 3 fillers are all the Fearless tracks :kink: Tbf Change has been greatly improved now by the new version, her vocals are SO much better on that and its really anthemic! (I mean it was tied in with something to do with the Olympics so it makes sense :kink:). However her vocals on the original are... not good, so it probs should be lower in this form. Jump Then Fall is nice enough and one of the better Fearless deluxe tracks but still isn't a highlight. The Way I Loved You is so goddamn overrated by the fanbase (as proven by it being ridiculously high on Spotify/Apple Music for the Taylor Version in comparison to its trackless placing) so I'm glad to see it out nice and early here compared to what other Taylor rates would like that! It's... fine, but just does nothing for me. Now that I like the new Change, its probs the weakest song on the Fearless standard version for me oops.

Holy Ground issa BOP. I don't really go back to it too much though, probs deserved higher here but its not a major loss at this stage

The one loss from this section is I'm Only Me When I'm With You  Such a BOP. Easily in my top 5 of self-titled & deserved to be like 60/70 places higher gah  It's insane to think this was originally only a deluxe track!! I get my life to it every time I hear it, that chorus is so much fun & the mini country instrument solo after each chorus is so good. Damn I love screaming this song at the top of my lungs, an early Taylor classic <3 at least its score average is v. good for a song that's probs BuzzJack's idea of hell.

It was Fearless!! Each sentence has 2 exclamation marks next to it = 2nd album!! Also the brackets = (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)

and yep, both self-titled & Red continued their streaks and I oop :kink: I mean the former isn't really too shocking but I'm SHOCKED how consistently the latter is losing tracks

I'm going to guess 'Fearless' and yes (mainly because I can't see debut not losing any more songs for a whole section!) :cheer:

tbf I have been beating the Sweeter Than Fiction is underrated & under-appreciated drum on this site since not long after release, and let's say its never really had much of an effect on people's appreciation for it :kink: Great to see you give it a couple more spins tho! <3 <3

and ty!!! Hoping we start going up to getting like 2 guesses per hints but the fact we're even getting 1 every-time I'll take *.* (and I'll keep doing them as long as we get 1 guess x)

HINTS FOR 126 to 130:

After the Fearless bloodbath in the last section, I can reveal this time we have FIVE different eras represented this time :o What will they be?

Also will self-titled (4 sections in a row) and Red (6 sections in a row) lose another song :o I can tell you, one will continue their bloodbath streak and the other will FINALLY get a break. Also the song from one of these 2 albums leaving here, it's a single :o guess away!

Actually there's 3 singles in this section :o (2 of them properly pushed). And the other 2 have had live performances broadcasted in the UK.

Those 5 are all some of the weaker tracks from their albums for me so I'm not sad to see them go.

And you got it perfectly correct with Fearless, we love to see it :cheer: :cheer: Though debut did lose another song :kink:
That's what I was trying to say I just worded it weirdly oops (I can't see it not losing another song) :kink:

I think 'The Last Time' is a good shout for the next section or maybe 'Everything Has Changed' Hopefully it's the former, that should've been gone a while ago! Maybe some more songs from Lover and non-album singles in this section as well? I would guess folklore/evermore lose their first song but I've been saying that for a while now so maybe not

I've been getting into 'Jump Then Fall' a bit more during my listens of the 'Fearless' re-recordings!

I charted the 'Lover' remix at the time but swiftly reverted back to the original oops.

130. Soon You'll Get Better [Avg. 7.13]
129. Eyes Open [Avg. 7.16]
128. Everything Has Changed (feat. Ed Sheeran) [Avg. 7.19]
127. Never Grow Up [Avg. 7.194 (no 10s (127th)]
126. White Horse [Avg. 7.194 (no 9.5s (126th)]

First out is a song from her Lover album, a tearjerker that features The Chicks written about Taylor's mom, Andrea, who has been battling cancer. It received two 10s (MrAndrewMan, Ultra's Version) a 9 (DionTheSats123), several 8s and 7.5s. On the lower end, a 4 (Cremey) and a 3.5 (Dexton). This is a song that I don't come back to much because it's overwhelmingly sad.

Next out is a non-album song that Taylor recorded for The Hunger Games movie soundtrack. It was released as the second single from the soundtrack. Highest score it received is a 10 (John-James). Also high is a 9.5 from two raters (Dexton, Riser). The lower end scores are a 5 (blacksquare, London) and a 4 (MrAndrewMan). Lots of 8s and a few 7s and 6s.

Third on the list is a song that Taylor recorded with Ed Sheeran that is about wanting to get to know a new lover better. It was released as the sixth single from Red. High scores are a 10 (DionTheSats123) and a 9.5 (MrAndrewMan). Lowest score is a 1 (John-James). Other scores range from 8.5 to 5.

Last is another album track from Speak Now. "Never Grow Up is a song about the fact that I don't quite know how I feel about growing up. It's tricky. Growing up happens without you knowing it. Growing up is such a crazy concept because a lot of times when you were younger you wish you were older." -Taylor
High scores are a 9.5 (JosephStyles) and three 9s (Among Haus, London, Ultra's Version). On the lower end, a 4 (Dexton, Jade). Lots of 7s and 6s. --> 127th

Sam edit: And in 126th is another single, this time its Love Story's follow-up from Fearless, White Horse leaving!! I'm kinda surprised this went so early, I thought it could sneak top 100. Its a really lovely ballad, albeit not one of my faves so not gutted it went. White Horse received a 10 from DionTheSats123 but a few 4's and 5's really affected it here!

Soon You’ll Get Better is such a sad song :( I thought that song might hold on a bit longer to be honest.

I like Never Grow Up and the story it tells. For me, Speak Now is such a strong album and this is nice to listen to before I belt out Enchanted which comes next.

Very much don’t like Eyes Open and Everything Has Changed just seems like a wasted opportunity and a poor effort for two people with such song writing capabilities.

Noo this section definitely has the biggest losses so far for me

SYGB & Everything Has Changed are both great songs even if the former is often too sad to listen to and I'm sad (and quite shocked tbh) to see them go this early!
