I'm a bit lost on the whole thing. I thought that the rule was: the remix only charts (with the feature listed) if the original never charted. As was the case with Missy Elliot being credited on 'How Ya' Doin?' and Ty Dolla $ign being credited on 'Think About Us'.. but then 'No More Sad Songs' and 'Power' never charted before the remixes were released and they are listed solo. So... WHAT?! :blink:

In the case of 'Confetti' I guess it makes sense since the original version already charted. But the rules behind it seem odd. :wacko:

It is really weird when it’s an actual single release not just a later remix.

 

Like above it’s because it’s already charted so classed as a re-entry. However I think the rules should change when the remix / featured mix ends up being the main single edit on radio.

 

I’m guessing there’s a reason but half the time they don’t follow this rule, it’s all a bit strange (Unless the label can request the remix to be a credited single if it’s selling more than the original!?!)

Hopefully the brits win will give it a boost despite them not performing, the album if nothing else should get a boost.

It's a good boost for their profile in general, so it should give their overall name a bit more buzz for a bit.
