Spotify updates are always daily from 00:00 to 23:59. Apple's is a rolling chart.

Lil Nas doesn’t have great Apple Music playlisting considering they’re normally really good with new music. Quite low down on Today’s Hits where new music is usually at the top and not on the main pop or R&B playlists yet, might be why it’s not top 3 yet

Why Don't We and New Hope Club have both released great albums in just over a year and both are being almost entirely ignored by radio + playlisting :( (beyond a few weeks on the Radio 1 C list for one New Hope Club song)

 

Not to mention 5SOS and The Vamps still going and making great music!

You are correct about 5SOS, the vamps are decent too. More talking about the typical boyband, ones that are less about the instruments. I will give New Hope Club a listen. I love the why don't we album and most the stuff they put out, criminal they don't get the support they deserve.

WDW in particular have had quite a big transformation from their first era to second.

In terms of boybands, we've seen JLS and also A1 back in the charts recently, so clearly they can still do well.

So judging by that, she could easily get #1 over the weekend, maybe even by tomorrow! I think people are underestimating how big her song is going to be - i can easily see her doing 700k by tomorrows update :unsure:

I don't think it's going to be quite that big - the hype of drivers license won't be replicated here without the word-of-mouth that one had (due to the love triangle drama) and I think expecting it to be anywhere near as big as drivers license is probably setting it up for an underperformance - hits on that scale don't come often!

As someone who adores her song - there is no way. Not even close. 300K MAYBE.

CMBYN is huge anyway and deserves to be huge.
