A shame it was removed from A-List to completely off the playlist, you think they would reduce it to B then C then let it go!? Apparently it was the most played song on Radio 2 last week!

It's popularity on Radio 2 was deserving and Michelle Visage looks very at home in Steps.

As far as I’m aware all songs are removed from the highest playlist they reach, rather than gradually being phased out!

The song will come alive again when they do tour, I wonder will Michelle be a surprise guest on one of the tour nights.

That just sounds rediculous doesn't it. Like imagine if that was a games console (for example) that sells 30 million in one year and then they just take it off the market because that as its peak year. Nada. It's stupid.

Radio stations are always aiming to keep things fresh for listeners, so after a few weeks they remove songs in order to make space for newer songs to be in regular/high rotation!

If songs moved up and then down radio playlists, then they’d get in the way of up and coming songs! Songs have to have a shelf life on playlists.

I can imagine that labels & radio stations are in regular negotiations, regarding songs they’d like to be added & the level/time-length of the support. There probably comes a point when labels don’t require a particular song to be in heavy rotation anymore because that moment of the campaign is over.

Yeah but at least nice the song to c-list beforehand.

Like I said, if songs were moved down then they’d take up spots from up and coming songs that enter the C list!

I think people have to remember that just because a song isn't playlisted doesn't mean they won't play it. It just doesn't get any guaranteed airplay.

Radio 2 is probably still playing the song here and there, but it's nothing that gets a certain amount of spins daily. Which is what playlisting is. You get a certain amount of spins depending on where you are on it.

I still absolutely adore this, it’s such an anthem! It was a very strong single choice and I can’t wait to see it live in their tour

Completly Agree. Between the Single Mix and the Album Version, one of my most played Steps songs of all times.

Here's hoping to a 2022 tour so I can see a performance live!

I wonder will Michelle join them on tour for a special appearance to perform the song.

She's claimed she will!

I agree this was such an excellent single choice, and I think they've actually chosen the singles perfectly and in the right order for this album! My only gripe is 'To the Beat of My Heart' not getting a proper video, but hey. Can't win 'em all.
