-------------------------------

SOPHIE Ellis-Bextor will join Steps on their 14-date What The Future Holds tour — but you’ll have to wait a year to see them.

She kept fans entertained in lockdown with her live-streamed iamspamspamamiDisco karaoke sessions, and she will be bringing a similarly upbeat set as their support act.

Faye said: “It’s so exciting to have Sophie on board.”

The tour will kick off at Sheffield’s FlyDSA Arena on November 2, next year with 14 shows across the UK before it wraps on December 1 at Bournemouth’s International Centre.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, September 18.

Steps have fab support acts! Blue, Vebgaboys, Sister Sledge, Sophie Ellis Bextor! I’ll be going to the Leeds date! ❤️😍

Just got my ticket for their tour, there was no golden circle option for the venue so I hope there isn't going to be one for the general release ticket sale.

Although last time I went to the venue I think maybe it didn't have one but it was years ago so I don't remember well. I think maybe it is just general admission for standing.

Anyway, it might not even go ahead with all this covid stuff. I'm not gonna hold my breath about actually going at this point but I've got the ticket booked and hopefully by next November things will have calmed down a bit.

I wasn't offered particularly great tickets for Birmingham pre-sale  I'll try my luck in the next pre-sale on Thursday.
I really hope they perform Light Up The World on the tour as it is one of my favourites and they didn’t sing it on the last two tours ☹️
I didn’t get pre-sale details :snif: Everyone who ordered from the official store was meant to get them right, or is that Thursday’s?
The fan presale was just infuriating this morning, the accounts who put out the tickets for Leeds just kept putting bad seats up first so people will panic buy. 30 minutes in decent seats became available, the whole waiting room then to be put into a random spot in the queue also. I didn’t enjoy this morning.
5th row in Newcastle for me. But at the cost of 100 per ticket 🙈

Well done you

I didn’t get offered very good seats and the Leeds one put me in some queue for 15mins was not impressed. Going to try my luck on Thursdays presale and try the accessibility tickets instead.

I haven't got tour tickets yet, I've just had so many gigs cancelled this year for which I've found it impossible to get refunds (as they have been 'postponed' indefinitely and we've been told to keep hold of original tickets), I'm a bit weary of booking anything. What happens if they sell out the arena and then if social distancing is still in place it can only be a third full? Do they refund a random two thirds of the tickets? This applies to everyone, not just Steps of course, but this is the first concert that's gone on sale since Covid-19 where I've actually thought about booking tickets as they were SO good in 2017. But I'm holding back for now.

YASSSS JASON!!!  :w00t: :yahoo: :cheer:

Got tickets for London, they’re up in the fucking GODS but it’s worth it to be there :D

Wonder what their super random cover will be this time? Loved Despacito, it was great to hear them sing in Spanish. If it’s anything that’s been released yet, I’m guessing Blinding Lights, which actually would fit them much better...

Got tickets for Belfast, nice and close (row 6) so YAY. I wasn’t able to make it last time but very excited.

I really hope they don’t do some random cover this time tbh! They have way too much of their own material to do instead. I don’t think they did a random cover at the Summer of Steps dates did they?
