It's a shame that this has occurred and I hope that everyone is healthy and makes a full recovery.

In hindsight they did exceptionally well to get through as much of the tour as they did.

It really is such a shame that they fell at the last hurdle so to speak, with just two dates left. As others have said, health and safety is paramount, so they've made the right call... and it's good that the final two dates will be rescheduled rather than outright cancelled.

Now let's hope they did in fact manage to film the show and that we'll get a release! :cheer:

I went on Saturday and I'm still in awe of how good they were! Shame it wasn't all five but I'm not a diehard Steps fan so I couldn't have told you what parts were Lee's anyway :kink: 5,6,7,8 aside but they couldn't have made that more obvious, the way none of the others knew the words to his part

The new songs slot in so brilliantly among the older ones and the setlist really was all killer, no filler. 5,6,7,8 felt a bit odd - perhaps I'm biased as I'm not that keen on it anyway but, despite a good arrangement, it felt a little limp! Again, perhaps Lee's absence didn't help that one. Highlights included Deeper Shade of Blue, Summer of Love, Scared of the Dark, Something in Your Eyes, Stomp, It's the Way You Make Me Feel, and one I didn't pay much attention to beforehand, Say You'll Be Mine! My only qualm is To the Beat of My Heart being snubbed  though I enjoyed its brief VT usage x

Also Claire is queen :cheeseblock:

So glad that you really enjoyed the concert, Joseph! Yaaas at the Say You’ll Be Mine stanning *.*
Happy the final dates were rescheduled so quickly. Me and my partner still went to Bournemouth anyway for a little getaway. Can’t wait for June 🙂

It's unfortunate that they're getting some negative-leaning press for this, including a sensationalist "Nicola Sturgeon blames Steps concert for omicron Covid outbreak" headline - which isn't what she did per se. This is what she said: "Cases are no longer all linked to a single event, but to several different sources including a Steps concert at the Hydro on 22 November. This confirms our view that there is now community transmission of this variant within Scotland.".

Obviously it's necessary for it to be said where the cases stem from, so others who were at the venue can do tests, but I don't like the way some of the press have chosen to report on this. <_< Particularly when this is the case: "Risk to those who attended is said to be low, and those who may have come into contact with the new variant at the event are being contacted."

Also, Scotland had different rules in place regarding vaccine passport checking. "But venue bosses today said vaccine passports were not needed for the event, saying it didn’t pass the threshold of 500 people standing, or 10,000 people overall." - whereas, as far as I'm aware, the checking took place throughout England.

Steps' statement:

‘We are aware of the news of the Omicron Covid-19 variant linked to the Steps concert at Glasgow’s Hydro Arena on 22 Nov. We are working closely with public health authorities to help with their inquiries and provide all information requested.’

Unfortunately the Cardiff and Bournemouth dates have been cancelled:

"We have tried every possible way to proceed with our ‘What The Future Holds’ arena tour dates in Cardiff and Bournemouth that were rescheduled because of Covid. Unfortunately, due to production issues it’s become clear it’s impossible for us to put on a show at the level of our past indoor tours for just two dates. We have therefore taken the difficult decision to cancel these two shows. Refunds will be available from your point of purchase. We really hope you can join us at one of our other #Steps25 outdoor festival shows this summer – we’re SO excited and plan to bring you this year’s BIGGEST pop party. Tickets available for all dates now at stepsofficial.co.uk"

It’s a bit cheeky that they are cancelling so they do not lose money and then asking fans to buy other tickets instead! Fans won’t get their booking fees back will they?
