I am making a thread to discuss the various features and contributions that Steps have made on other songs, both credited and uncredited.

 

This one from 1999 would probably be the most well known, which was performed along with Billie, Cleopatra, B*Witched and Tina Cousins and achieved a UK #4 hit (the video is from the Brit Awards 1999);

 

 

Also, there is this uncredited appearance on Denise Van Outen & Johnny Vaughn’s #3 Christmas single, a cover of Kylie Minogue’s hit Especially For You, from 1998;

 

 

And, although this one was in fact credited to Steps, there was also a special performance as part of a Motown Mania show in 2000 (the song was also the B-Side to the UK #2 single It’s The Way You Make Me Feel);

 

 

And just one last one I felt like promoting here (as it’s my favourite Steps ballad), was the band’s wonderful recording for AbbaMania of the song I Know Him So Well which was released as the B-side to Words Are Not Enough in 2002, and featured on the Steps album The Last Dance;

I was so surprised thank Abba for music didnt go number 1 at the time.

While Number 4 is more than respectable i think it was widely expected to achieve a higher placement.

Yeah I thought it was an easy #1 to be honest with all those different fan bases... that being said I didn't buy it so... :lol:

I bought it as I thought it was well put together.

I love I Know Him So Well, it is a beautiful song.
