Welcome to the weekly ACR Status Updates thread! This is where you can find out the current streaming ratios of the songs in the official top 100. Please note - I don't receive information every single week, so if no thread materialises, there's no use nagging me - it means I genuinely don't know the status of any songs! Updates can also materialise at any point over the weekend but I'll always try to ensure I do it before the First Look chart update if I receive the necessary information.

If you're wondering what ACR and SCR are, here's a quick reminder:

SCR = Standard Chart Ratio. All songs enter the chart on SCR, which means their streams count at the following ratios:

100 premium streams = 1 sale (e.g. a premium Spotify account, Apple Music, Tidal, etc)

600 ad-funded streams = 1 sale (e.g. free Spotify, YouTube, etc)

ACR = Accelerated Chart Ratio. Once a song has charted for at least 10 weeks, and declines in streams for three consecutive weeks, it is put onto ACR. This means its streams are effectively HALVED, and count at the following ratios:

200 premium streams = 1 sale

1200 ad-funded streams = 1 sale

Songs older than 3 years old are automatically on ACR.

The terminology used in this thread will be the official terminology used by the OCC. The explanations are posted in each update to assist you.

Such a shame for James Arthur. Peaked at #41 and looks like it will hit acr next week if not for a miracle. Feels like it’s still too early for ‘hold on’ it never really became the hit it deserved to.

You know, people just don't care about some tracks. :P

Also, songs can only spend 9 weeks on SCR and still be huge smashes because they hang around for a while (Drivers License for instance). So no matter if it *feels* that they are going ACR too early, it's just rules and maths and has nothing to do with the hit status.

I know that lol, my point was I think ‘hold on’ is a really good song and I think because of how good it is I wish it had peaked higher/ had a decent run in the top 10. Guess more people were focused on peaches though.

Gooid to see quite a few of the songs that have been sticking around for quite a while hit ACR, let's hope that *somehow* translates into us getting some new songs into the Top 40.
Wellerman is the only song I've liked other than Last Christmas by Wham! at No.1 this year for me. Shame it's on ACR this week.
'The Business' going to ACR is definitely overdue (although I'd have accepted it staying around for a bit longer if we could sacrifice 'Friday' in its place <_<)
Thank God I won't listen to this 'masterpiece' of lyrics anymore in the Top 40: "If it's up, then it's up, then it's up, then it's stuck". :w00t:

It's kinda crazy how Up wasn't top 10, reached #1 in the US but mid-top 20 only in the UK

as usual, I think it's down to HH not supporting it, think it's been track #40 for months but not higher

some US artists need to start caring more about the UK market and sending those checks to HH

it's the same with Doja Cat, SZA etc

Up has been Cardi's most successful solo track to date, she's never been as huge over here as she has been in the US and it's especially evident on her solo songs.

don't think you can compare pre-WAP vs post-WAP

WAP should had catapulted her to the 1st league

and really thought this could have even debuted at #1

o0n name power alone after WAP

but as I said, I think it's partially cos of lack of HH support

I think you missed my point - Up already did better than a typical Cardi solo song, regardless of Hot Hits, and it's WAP that can be attributed to that. It was never going to debut at #1, Cardi hasn't ever done that.

Up was hardly a mega smash in the UK, but yep, keep being pressed about a top 20 song. :P

What relevance does that have to anything?

It's still been played on the chart show a plentiful amount of times, which I think was the point they're making.
