Posted May 4, 20214 yr Ranking every season of Drag Race (except Thailand oops) Here I am with another ranking and this time it’s the crucial topic of seasons of Drag Race- there are 22 to get through and with each I’ve included my favourites and least favourite queens and looks as well as my favourite moments and lip-syncs of each season as well. I hope you enjoy following and feel free to share any fave moments of each season and how you would rank comparatively. Also I haven't seen Thailand because only the second season is on WOWPresents and it would annoy me to watch from the second season and not the first :P
May 4, 20214 yr Author 22. Season 13 kOTe6FOVbi0 The season that never ended however once it did I have never been happier to put a season behind us. Airing this at the same time as UK2 was a very interesting choice as the world (much to Kandy’s dismay) seemed to gravitate way more to the British version instead. There were a host of queens I found completely unbearable and so did many others including Joey Jay, Kandy Muse, Tina Burner, Rose and far and away the worst- Elliott with 3 Ks who the show took 3 attempts to finally eliminate. How the show went from such a fab cast of 12 to this dire mess with some true series lows in the RuPaulmark episode, Social Media: The Rusical (huh?) and who on earth besides Ross himself, asked for a Bossy Rossy reboot. The runways were stale, most queens were unmemorable or grating, the twists were eye-roll inducing and the show had 6 WEEKS of non-eliminations??? Favourite Queen: Symone Least Favourite Queen: Ell*ott with 2 Ts Favourite Look: Gottmik’s Fascinator Look Worst Look: Lala Ri’s Bag Look (although the Tina Burner collection isn’t too far behind) Best Lip-sync: 100% Pure Love- Denali vs Kahmora Hall Best Moment: Olivia Lux’s home-run of a performance in the Discomentary- she exuded the perfect energy and was one of the few unabashed joyous moments of the season!

Season 11 Ga2aEQQ9r1s Season 11 just lacked joy and fun that we’ve loved from Drag Race- there was so much drama and a lot of the time it was drawn out, pointless and exhaustingly petty. Silky being dragged to the finale, Brooke lacking any fun, Akeria having essentially an invisible edit and Yvie falling off after the Sorry Not Sorry lipsync made this season such a slog. For me, this is the season with the most questionable judging of all time- Silky is the main queen favoured but then we have queens like Scarlet, Rajah, Shuga and Vanjie (in the makeover) getting shafted completely. It’s a shame because this season genuinely did have some great challenges- the Monster Ball, the episode 2 acting challenges were surprisingly good, LADP had some great performances but the judging and rigging of this season brings it down so much. Scarlet and Rajah make FANTASTIC TV and I’m bitter the producers didn’t see that ☹ Favourite Queen: Scarlet Envy Least Favourite Queen: Soju (even thinking about her makes me cringe) Favourite Look: Vanjie’s What’s Your Sign? Look Worst Look: Silky’s Roach Look Best Lip-sync: No More Drama- Vanessa Vanjie Mateo vs Shuga Cain Best Moment: Scarlet and Yvie’s performance in the Good God Girl Get Out scene.
May 5, 20214 yr Author 20. All Stars 1 9movrnrKYYk I had more fun listening to Willam & Alaska review this season on Race Chaser than I did watching its six-episode run. None of the challenges were bad, none of the queens unbearable, runway categories were fine etc etc- but that twist element screwed over every single queen there. This cast had the potential to be phenomenal- the number of stars there is up there with AS2 but of course within an episode we’d lost a fan favourite and a potential villain, the next we’d lost one of the most interesting queens to ever be on the show and one of the best competitors to ever compete and then a week later losing Latrila and then Yarlexis- what a MESS! Bringing back ten queens that had all made top five and wildcards in Mimi and Tammie is such a perfect casting so it’s devastating this was wasted on such a short season and none of them- including the winner: Chad, got to show off what they themselves are good at. There are also some really annoying moments as a viewer- the queens calling out Yarlexis for not having English as their first language, Rujubee’s celebrity guest refusing to actually do drag (?) and Pandora’s visible fury the entire first episode. Favourite Queen: Jujubee (people saying Raven was robbed of the AS1 crown are so delusional, she dragged through by Juju) Least Favourite Queen: Mimi Imfurst Favourite Look: Yarlexis’ Bad Girl Drag Worst Look: Mandora’s It Takes Two Best Lip-sync: Dancing on my Own- Raven vs Jujubee Best Moment: I actually loved the format of the final- the stakes were high, the challenge was really difficult and fast-paced.

May 7, 20214 yr Author 19. All Stars 5 wpP0F3vHcYE Get A Room and SheMZ are two of the worst challenges ever wow. Not only was this season possibly the most predictable of all time- but so unbelievably dull, even the India vs Alexis drama was just so boring every time it was brought up it made me want to turn off even more. There were some fierce competitors here and so it was a shame to see the format now only reward one winner per episode. The lip-sync incentive was a really dumb one too, why would the assassin want to win when they don’t get anything- why would the All Star want to be the one eliminating the girl? As much as I loved seeing some of the assassins back it was a twist so unnecessary and seemed perfect for producers to tamper with on a season that already felt very manipulated and rigged. Also the CRINGE I felt towards Blair them last few episodes eek. Bring back Jujubee and Mariah for every season though please. Favourite Queen: Jujubee on the show, in general, Mariah Least Favourite Queen: I’m going to say Blair St Clair because at least India did have one good showing- Blair was just white girl cringe the entire season. Favourite Look: Juju’s Freak Worst Look: India’s Love The Skin You’re In haunts my dreams- how UGLY Best Lip-sync: Livin La Vida Loca- Yvie Oddly vs India Ferrah Best Moment: Juju, Shea and Alexis in Snatch Game

Season 1 _EmJWGiuibg I can’t put this any higher just for the lack of budget, the filter, the fashions etc but it’s such a lovely watch once you put aside the very “female-presenting” focus on drag the judges had at the time. We had the original queen being dragged to the finale for no reason, the queen who was bitter she was safe all the time, the edgy out-there contestant becoming the fan favourite and a shock elimination no-one predicted. There are so many lovable queens from this season, namely the top five (minus Rebecca), who are really what made this show so enjoyable and helped the show take off into what it is. Bebe was such a perfect queen to be the first crowned she has this poise and grace the whole way through the competition but is also super warm and relatable throughout- a true star and I am looking forward to her upcoming documentary. Favourite Queen: Nina Flowers Least Favourite Queen: Rebecca Glasscock Favourite Look: Bebe’s Final Drag Worst Look: Porkchop’s Drag on a Dime Look Best Lip-sync: Covergirl- Bebe Zahara Benet vs Nina Flowers Best Moment: Shannel’s Miss Mandarin moment and the judges reaction is timeless
May 7, 20214 yr AS5 was such a load of crap. Really hoping AS6 follows the trend of even numbered seasons being much better. As for season 1, I'd love to watch it some day without the weird filter!
May 11, 20214 yr Author 17. Drag Race Holland d7Wji1evE4A Another debut season here with the Holland iteration and I had a lot of fun watching this to be honest. The challenges were a little bizarre in places- like I don’t know what that finale lipsync performance was about and why they couldn’t have written verses but I guess that’s because of the budget, also ChelseaBoy not winning Snatch Game??? Some fabulous looks on this season though and some really entertaining and lovely queens- Envy, ChelseaBoy and in particular- Mama who I just absolutely adored. I really hope some of these queens get the chance to shine on an International All Stars season as there are some true talented beauties in this batch- despite some dead lipsyncs. Favourite Queen: MamaQueen Least Favourite Queen: Based on the show, Megan Schoonbrood, but outside the show Sederginnne Favourite Look: MamaQueen and Envy Peru’s Finale Looks Worst Look: there really weren’t many bad looks huh? Sederginne’s Half Man Half Queen look was hideous however. Best Lip-sync: I Wanna Dance With Somebody- MamaQueen vs Miss Abby OMG vs Madame Madness Best Moment: Any time any of the top five sat in the interview chair because the out of drag cuties on this series WOW- on a serious note- Maxima: The Rusical followed by the mini ball afterwards was FABULOUS.

The cast had a mix of fan-faves, under dogs and high-placers alike with a fair few front-runners in the mix. The talent show, rusical, Snatch Game and Bitchelor challenge were successful and fairly well-judged (aside from Thorgy), and the queens all really got to shine on the runways and the challenges. So we reach the ball episode at top six and we have a strong bunch of contenders left but then it all goes to pot- Bebe betrays Aja, Shangela does a horrible job, Aja doesn’t know how to pronounce someone’s name (???) and following this we have Dela’s elimination, Morgan coming back solely due to Dela’s guilty conscience, a nightmare of an acting challenge and the DUMBEST finale twist that obliviously favoured queens who had played a safe game and hadn’t eliminated anyone. After the majestic All Stars 2 this really could have been a great follow-up but if it ain’t broke RuPaul- don’t give us unnecessary twists!!! Favourite Queen: Aja Least Favourite Queen: Milk Favourite Look: Every single one of them red runways as well as Trixie and Shangie’s finale Least Favourite Look: Bebe’s finale Best Lipsync: Anaconda- BenDeLaCreme vs Aja Best Moment: The Bitchelor might be one of the best improv challenges on the show
May 14, 20214 yr All Stars 3 was great for the first 5 (ish) weeks, but yeah the wheels came off quickly with the twists becoming a detriment to the show rather than making it interesting. Fantastic cast though! However must be said Thorgy, Shangela and Aja were all robbed of progressing further (I'd include Ben in that too, but she self-eliminated). May 15, 20214 yr Author 15. Season 7 jL2E3BOwiQY Why- WHY??? Did they cast a season as being a fashion-forward season but throw in so many acting and comedy challenges??? The Merle Ginsberg challenge, the parody challenge, the Rusical, the John Waters challenge, Shakesqueer and the DESPY Awards when we could have had challenges that catered to the queens that Ru and Michelle said they tailored the season for. Violet wins the first challenge and doesn’t win then until right near the end, Ginger gets an edit in the last few episodes making her really hard to route for- as does Kennedy, Pearl is hard to see as a winner due to her constantly being bumped up in rankings by the judges. There are so many great queens here I can’t deny but the challenges were such a slog to get through when we could have had at least one more looks challenge that could have made Violet, Pearl, Fame etc- way easier to route for- but instead we see them flounder way more? Favourite Queen: Pearl Least Favourite Queen: Jasmine Masters Favourite Look: Violet’s 2-in-1 Least Favourite Look: Both of Sasha Belle’s Best Lipsync: Roar- Kennedy Davenport vs Katya Best Moment: “I’d like to thank Mexico for the tapeworm that snatched my body, and the man upstairs- thank you so much for the light- I look great!”

I believe you should go once you’ve lost a lipsync surely and Kandy and Jaidynn both murdered some lipsyncs! and also Jaidynn deserved the Spoof challenge win. Pearl was one of the queens that made me fall in love with the show a complete outsider who does drag her own way and her content since the show has been so marvellous!
