Overal a good debut but not my favorite Steps album. The single releases were great though ❤️

The extra tracks are nice enough and would have suited the album nicely. 7/10 material for me. Why is a bit cheesy but my fav out of these 3.

Yes, I agree with many of you that Lee's pool scene in Last Thing on My Mind is a highlight of that video. :kink:

 

I don't think I ever got around to hearing most of their B Sides, because I didn't own many of their CD singles back in the day. I bought them years later from eBay for the collection but didn't hear the B Sides. Therefore I'm looking forward to us doing a listening session for the extra tracks. :D Tbh, without having heard the Step One B Sides, I'm confident they'd have been better choices than Experienced. :kink: Can't get over what a misfire of a track that is. I wonder what H thinks of it nowadays? I wonder what the other members of Steps thought about it at the time? :lol:

Experienced is an extremely weak song that should not have made its way onto the album.

Thanks Jay, it’s great to be able re-listen to these and take a trip down memory lane. These listening parties are great for that and it’s also great reading through everyone’s posts on this.

I always enjoy seeing the opinions of others on the songs, I may not always agree but its good to see how people view the various songs.

Last Thing On My Mind :wub: remains one my fave Steps singles.

5.6.7.8 reminds me of line dance performance at school in early 1998

One For Sorrow is amazing :wub:

Heartbeat is not a fave don't understand it was #1 :teresa:

This Heart Will Love Again is v S Club Juniors first album and i love it :wub:

Experienced i don't know what i just listened to lmao that was awful

Back To You sounds v ABBA vs Kylie 80s

Luv U More i know it as the DJ Paul Elstak #2 hit in The Netherlands and prefer that version way more
