It has to out peak 26 doesn’t it?

 

I’d say it’s a fair chance of happening in the current climate.

I think it's very possible, but I also wonder if we're going to see a crowded schedule in the second part of the year due to artists delaying their albums + stuff like Steps and Kylie re-releasing their albums to extend their "eras".

 

Earlier this year it could've gone top 20 considering a few weeks you needed less than 3k, but realistically sales will have recovered a bit into October.

Unfortunately, pre-order albums doesn't show up on the iTunes album chart anymore.

Currently #3 in the iTunes Pre order chart behind Pink - All I Know So Far & Griff - One Foot in Front of the Other!

 

 

I’d like to think One Touch will be able to reach a new peak. They’ll chart on Friday 8th October 2021; the equivalent week last year (9th Oct 2020) had these sales:

 

#10 - 6,792

#15 - 4,343

#20 - 3,510

#25 - 3,203

 

That week in 2020 was competitive, there were 10 new entries in the Top 20. Hopefully Sugababes’ release week is a little easier!

 

Top 10 might be a tall order for a reissue, but hopefully they can pull off 4k+ and be Top 20.

Oooh that’s good to know! Hopefully we can pick up the three and a bit thou we need to give it a new peak. That would just be magical beyond belief

I'm hoping for maybe somewhere between 2-3k. Maybe. A lot of sales will go to other countries and won't count towards the UK, so a lot depends on what kind of promotion they'll have going on in the next few months.

Just a random thought but I wonder if the Overload cd single is counting towards the sales total? I kind of assume the One Touch re-issue is counting towards the original sales release :geri:

Yes, though I doubt it would sell enough to enter the top 100. It's more my OCD wondering if it's going to end up counting towards the Overload sales total or if it's going to end up being an item of its own. :geri:

I don’t understand enough rules about the Charts any more to even know where to begin. I miss the good old days of walking into a shop and just buying the single and that counted to the charts. I’m too old

I’m with you. I miss the ‘good old days’. I barely pay attention to the ARIA Charts anymore. I use to be an avid chart watcher. Though that could have more to do with the music in the charts.

It’s back down to 97 on iTunes 🥲

 

But it did get a spin on Radio 1 the other day.

 

 

 

This project is 100% fan service so not too concerned about that. The press coverage and R1 play is good evidence tho that there’s still sufficient interest in them that new music would do respectably well

A top 20 placement for the reissue would be great, I hope it can get there

Same, Girls Nite Out is a track I have heard rumoured about for as long as Ive been a hardcore Sugafan so i am so stoked to finally hear it.
