Liverpool centre-back Ben Davies has agreed a season-long loan deal with Sheffield United.

Davies, 26, has yet to make a senior appearance for the Reds following his transfer deadline day move from Preston in February.

Abraham to Roma for $34M, incredible signing for Roma. Abraham is an absolute beast of a striker, can't believe he was valued so low by Chelsea. His 19/20 season was out of this world for a player his age. Reckon he'd be as good as Lukaku if he were the main man at Chelsea this season.

Not sure he would be anywhere near as good as Lukaku, but I agree it's a good purchase for Roma. I think he is at that age where he needs to play and he will either develop in to a top, top striker or he will just do OK. Sitting as a back-up or 3rd choice isn't going to do his career any good. Roma know someone in the Premier League will pay good money for him in a few years time if he is any good too, so solid investment from them.

Perhaps not but I think Lukaku is being slightly overrated. Being painted as this goal machine but he's only hit 20 goals in the league once previously (his last season for Everton). He's in his prime now yes and will have better supply at Chelsea but they tend to share the goals around.

I think Lukaku is a beast like and a goalscorer but yeh he misses too!

As for Abraham he needs games as he’s another striker that misses a lot of chances too, will be an interesting move for him and as Rooney said above someone will pay big money in a few years if he delivers the goods with Roma!

Arsenal have signed midfielder Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid for a fee in the region of £30m while goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has completed a medical before a move from Sheffield United.

Arsenal have outspent every other team in the prem and signed completely bang average players (for Ramsdale that's actually a stretch itself) WD

Imagine replacing Emi Martinez with Aaron Ramsdale...

Exactly sums up the way they are run currently, I can see them drifting into mid table if they don’t buck up their ideas!

Arsenal's strategy is so poor, not really sure what they are trying to achieve. I get they are shopping at a different level to other teams and they need to get players that can help them get to Top 4 and then upgrade them, but Ramsdale is such a bizzare signing. He so, so bad.

Xherdan Shaqiri has completed a £9.5m move from Liverpool to Lyon.

The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 club, who say the deal is worth 6m euros plus a possible 5m euros in add-ons.

Kane announcing he's staying at Spurs this summer..

Does this mean the Ronaldo to City rumours have some legs? Be interested to hear how the Utd fans would feel about this!

Not sure if he would actually go to City.

Not sure if he would actually go to City.

I could see it, he wants to win the Champions League again and outside of PSG, City (on paper) is probably his best chance. For all of Levy's hard sell, I'm sure there is a price he would have caved at. Personally for £150m I'd have bitten their hand off for it. I just can't see City not going past August 31st without a striker, unless of course they are arranging a deal for Kane in January.

I can’t see Ronaldo going to the scum, regardless of how much blood money they put on the table. He owes United far too much in terms of United and Fergie shaping him into what he became.

That And Fergie would probably literally murder him at a Manc Derby live on sky sports if he dared

Real Madrid have made a 160m euros (£137m) bid to sign Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe which has been rejected.

Kane staying at Spurs was the least surprising news this window.

Don't think City will be out for a striker considering Pep loves his false 9 formations and playing midfielders/wingers as strikers. Also has everyone just forgotten about the existence of Gabriel Jesus?

The Real Madrid offer for Mbappe is a joke. PSG aren't gonna sell their star man when they're still attempting to win the UCL and it's not like they need the money  160M is couch change to them. Also if I were Mbappe I'd be personally insulted by that offer. Madrid somehow think he's lost value the past 3 years?

Wasn't it something like £163m for Mbappe that PSG paid for Monaco back in 2018?
