One more week to go until Wannabe 25...

 

Eager to know when they'll announce Spice 25. Little Mix have put their Greatest Hits album formats up for pre-order and that's coming out on November 12th. Spice's anniversary is November 4th, which would suggest November 5th... hope they don't leave it too long.

 

 

Feeling like they aren’t even going to bother at this point. Or it’ll be a similar situation to wannabe where we get digital in November and a physical like months later or something stupid.

Spice has been much better planned and thought out. A wannabe physical was originally not planned but a last minute decision hence it being messy.

The Wannabe vinyl is out on Friday. Have you pre-ordered yours yet?

 

Also, is anyone else downloading from any sites. Friday 27 Aug - Thursday 2 September is the week to do it.

I ordered it from Amazon and HMV a few weeks ago, and I thought I'd cancel one, but I haven't yet... and now I think I'd probably like to keep one sealed with the sticker on it, and then open another one to play!

 

By the way I find it so odd that this store https://store.universalmusic.com/spicegirls/ has been down for weeks. It's kind of dodgy really to have a holding page without any contact details on there (in case anyone wants to check the status of their order, or cancel it).

I still don't understand why at the very least they didn't include a link to redirect people to Amazon or HMV. I hope Universal isn't this sloppy for Spice 25.

It's all down to allocation, the copies allocated for the Universal store sold out so quickly and it's been messy trying to get anymore copies pressed. As it happened the original batch couldn't even be pressed on time.

 

The UK/rest of world split was 25/75% (I'm sure I posted exact figures in this thread) so the decision was to keep the UK suppliers heavily stocked after that rather than restock the universal store and essentially lose the international sales from counting to any chart and have reduced stock available in the UK if they restocked the Universal store.

 

It definitely looks much better in real life than the mock up version.

 

Also yes I'll definitely be throwing streams and downloads at Wannabe on vinyl/cassette release week.

Seems some fans have received copies already, but not me yet, though the HMV order dispatched today! However my official store order of the cassette is still "pending" :thinking:

Yeah I aint buying any of that, lol specially as the shipping prices are high to Portugal (where I am at the moment) and I dont particularly like any of it...

 

They are soooooooo boring with their merchandise, jesus.... it's basically the same shit as before just with new pictures and logos... urgh... Get that money though girls, and hope this is only for the Wannabe celebrations, and more (and more creative) merch will come out later this year.

 

Victoria's lack of involvement is not surprising. We shouldnt expect it at this stage, at all. They need to focus on being seen as a 4-piece for the next couple of years so that people dont expect Victoria to tour/make music.

 

Surely she will be posting about the anniversary later this year as she did with the Wannabe stuff.

Gotta say though, at least they are FINALLY selling the vinyl and cassette on their store again lol

Finally the merch went live, it's worked out well though as they were shooting other things that day I'm sure and the merch was ready to go so getting them to pose with it quickly was probably an added bonus.

They signed off another set of merchandise for Spice 25 so maybe more of that will be to people's liking.

 

I think Spice the re-release and everything involved with it will be a lot more exciting.

I'm so ready :wub: and very curious about when they'll time the announcement of that.

 

I received two copies of the Wannabe 25 vinyl and one cassette today! :cheer: Not had a chance to play the vinyl yet. I bought two to keep one sealed and unseal the other. The cassette looks really plain to me (nothing exciting in the inlay, just credits). I'm sure it's the most expensive cassette I've ever bought, more so than any album cassette I have :lol:

 

I hope Wannabe is in the Monday midweeks, as it would be interesting to know how much it's selling.

 

By the way, the download card includes Wav files, which is high quality, I'm pleasantly surprised. I remember the Greatest Hits picture disc vinyl download card only offered 192kbps mp3 :lol:
