The article is in French, it gives this info:

- 4-Track Maxi Picture Disc Vinyl released on July 23rd, it also mentions a Cassette

- Digital release on July 9th

Track list:

Side A

'Wannabe' (Original Radio Edit) (02:53)

'Wannabe' (Junior Vasquez Remix Edit) (05:57)

Side B

'Wannabe' (Demo: Previously Unreleased) (02:58)

'Feed Your Love' (Previously Unreleased Song) (04:36)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would initially have dismissed this as being fan made... but then I remembered what the Greatest Hits vinyl release looks like, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is actually real.

Well, the less said about that art the better - but if we really are getting Feed Your Love, that's exciting!

Another thing that makes me feel like it's genuine is the split release date, because obviously it would be too much to ask for a coordinated release lol <_<

Does sound like them but I’ll be happy to get Feed Your Love on digital and vinyl !
Only excited for this because of Feed Your Love and Wannabe demo in good quality

I totally expected UMG would release the demo version of Wannabe in July. That's a no brainer. I'm really shocked if they release Feed Your Love on a Wannabe vinyl release. I expected UMG to use Feed Your Love to promote Spice 25.

If they release Feed Your Love now you wonder what’s coming as extra on Spice re-release ? Likely Stories/C U Next Tuesday is the only known song from the Spice sessions next to Feed Your Love that we haven’t heard am I right?

Step To Me and Strong Enough are also from the Spice sessions. There's also a song called Pleasin' Me registered on HFA Songfile which is rumored to be from Spice. It's another Biffco song.

I was told 2 days ago UMC has a spice girls store thats gone live last week (it's locked right now) so this figures. I'd thought they might not bother with too much for Wannabe as it was getting close to release date but if it comes on the 23rd that makes sense.

There will be merch too on the UMC spice store.

The pic and design are by the by tbh, getting 2 new songs on streaming and digital platforms would be huge though for their legacy. Don't forget they have a tiny catalogue, 1 new song would account for like 2.5% of all their original material.

Oh God, nice to get FYL demo and the two formats but that artwork is absolutely horrible. I do wonder who gets paid for coming up with these ideas, and if they realise how out of touch from the fans' wishes the label actually is.

I think it's more fans that are out of touch tbh. It's a pic from the original photoshoot, I mean if you look at Wannabes cover closely Geri looks like a demented 40 year old.

It's silver as it's Wannabe's 25th anniversary which is a silver anniversary. It looks dated and tacky but so would a lot of their releases now if you saw them for the first time with how you look at things today.

This is definitely official UMC are sending out mailers promoting it to journalist. A pre-order will be up soon I would expect.

I do sometimes hate spice girls fans, you are getting the first new original spice girls song on physical and streaming formats in 14 years and all people care about is the font or picture.

I mean the vinyl and cassette are cheap cash ins, you'll stick them on a shelf. The new song will increase their discography and be on streaming for years to come, it's a big thing.

It could be a pic of geri's white vibrator and it's still an amazing release.

So sorry for not rolling over and being grateful for the fact it is a cheap cash in and that they can't make the effort. If this were Melanie C releasing it as a solo thing you'd be ripping it to shreds. The double standards are unbelievable.

Happy for the new song but it's perfectly ok to say it looks cheap, and you said it is cheap.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing for fans to want/expect items that have better quality control & more care put into them. You’d never get an ABBA or Queen reissue that looks like that... that is my frustration.

I’m the sort of fan who buys anything, so I’m probably part of the problem, but still... I think it’s fine for me/others to express disappointment with it aesthetically, and I definitely don’t think there has to be a “be grateful for what you’re given” angle here. I don’t think UMC cares what we think about it anyway, they’ll make cash regardless. Fans can be honest with each other. It looks really tacky. :(

But yes, the main aspect of this release that I am looking forward to & definitely grateful for is Feed Your Love.

I can't be bothered to find the zillion posts on here about wanting them to open the vaults, they do so and it's 'but it's not the pic I wanted in the crayon colour I used to colour in with'.
