May 28, 20214 yr P!nk's longevity is really quite something, wow! So impressive, I wouldn't have been at all surprised if she'd just disapeared or faded away after those first three singles of her debut era. The swerve to more rocky pop with Missundaztood has served her incredibly well ever since. This is another really good song, nice for her to get another solo top 40 hit.
May 28, 20214 yr Scott was only reading out a selection of names, not necessarily every single new top 40 entrant Oh I see, I always assumed he read them all. I guess we've had a lot of quieter weeks where he does read them all
May 28, 20214 yr 37 | 34 | 7th week Dave Titanium Non-album single Released: 10th April 2021 Label: Dave / Neighbourhood Recordings Chart Statistics NE (22/04/2021) | 9-13-17-23-31-34-37 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 54 Sales 11 Audio Streaming __ Video Streaming Video mgsfS_nyNFk Biography Challenging power and perception with a free-spoken approach to rap, Dave has indelibly amplified hip-hop’s voice in Britain. Born David Orobosa Omoregie in Brixton, London in 1998, Dave suddenly implanted himself in the UK rap scene in 2016, first with the electric grime alliance “Thiago Silva” with AJ Tracey and then when Drake jumped on the remix of the velvety “Wanna Know” from Dave’s first EP, Six Paths. Rebuffing label advances to pursue his career independently, he demonstrated a self-reliant streak on releases such as his 2017 EP Game Over, whose “Question Time,” a scathing attack on Theresa May’s Conservative government, garnered him an Ivor Novello songwriting award. Dave’s full-length debut, the Mercury Prize winner Psychodrama, followed in 2019; epitomizing his achingly honest rap style, it laid bare personal vulnerabilities while challenging institutional racism in a provocative fashion rarely heard in British rap. The centerpiece of the lavishly soundscaped album was “Black,” a heart-wrenching portrait of the prejudice affronting Black lives. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, where Psychodrama won Album of the Year, Dave started his performance of “Black” by accompanying himself on piano and ended it by excoriating British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as a “real racist” and executing a perfect mic drop. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 51 Wanna Know (feat. Deeply influenced by the ‘bassline house’ clubbing heritage they grew up around in the North of England as well as emergent UK and US rap. The boys’ have created something of their own new sound, lacing pacey 4x4 bass-quakes with a frantic lyrical fire that veers from infectious ear-worm hooks to wry observational punchlines. Think The Streets meet T2’s ‘Heartbroken’. Embracing the term ‘charva’ as a way-of-life, together they channel the nuances and absurdities of northern street life into hugely addictive tunes. May 28, 20214 yr Can't say this is doing much for me but I'm appreciating the amount of new entries this week at least!
May 28, 20214 yr Dream having a top 40 hit   the song isn’t very good but still worth it for the amusement factor
May 28, 20214 yr Yeh its like an artist from 1970 still getting top 40 hits into the early 90s when I was younger!! In the US, David Cassidy and Donny Osmond had top 40 hits in 1990.
May 28, 20214 yr This song is going to bob along the 30-40 part for a while with the increased airplay. Its trash but the sort of thing radio 1 listeners might latch onto!
