That description excites me greatly as Screamadelica is an all-time favourite album and love Massive Attack too <3 here for more trip-hop in the chart after Doja's 'Attention' just about made it

The OCC article is not entirely accurate  I've shared the actual Rolling Stone cover story and interview in a separate thread here. It's not a "Britpop inspired" album. It's inspired by British club culture.

Rolling Stone describes the album as

The final product is uniquely and utterly Dua Lipa: confident dance pop full of witty Instagram-caption-ready one-liners. A lot of the songs are playful scenes from clubs or nights out with friends; the lyrics toggle from warnings that she’ll make a fast escape to optimism about what a first kiss could become. There are no sweeping ballads, though there is one good ballad fake-out that blooms into a more buoyant Carole King- and Fleetwood Mac-inspired moment. Mostly, this album is straightforward pop bliss, not unlike her approach to Future Nostalgia.

Rolling Stone also didn't say the midtempo track sounds like an update of Gwen's 'Cool', they said the lyrics play out that way.

The "don't give a f*** energy" is referring to how Dua changed her fashion this era after the glamorous bodysuits of Future Nostalgia.

Apparently her team are negotiating to do a recorded TV concert to promote the album similar to the ones Adele and Kylie did

Ok, so I gotta admit that I am a bit frustrated how they're unravelling album details so slow...it's just too slow!!!

Like they already did everything they could with two singles, promo, tv performances etc. etc. and I feel like they desperately want a UK #1 single before they come up with album date and it's so frustrating at this point.

Sorry for the rant lol.

Houdini is 5 months old. Who knows, the album can be released after the 5th single if ever, but not in a million years she should go that Becky Hill route.

Do you think they are changing things and recording some more stuff for the album!!!

100% She is majorly flopping. They probably brought in a bunch of songwriters and producers to make a bunch of new songs for rhe album. It won't be out for ages now.

Lol shush with flopping comments.

And yet Houdini hitting 3 million daily streams on Spotify 5 months into it!!!

If the rumours are true re Glastonbury I wonder if the album release may coincide with that??

Maybes release a third single first and have the album in June? Beyoncé’s 4 album was released to coincide with Glastonbury too wasn’t it? It may be a good way of releasing and a brilliant promo slot? I do think we’ll soon see but that’s perhaps what I’m starting to think.

Is it a clue for the album title? Maybe it's called Euphoria or Rapture or something.

Definitely.

I'm kind of sure Dua and/or her team are waiting until Glastonbury announces the line-up, which might be sometime this month, so she could unveil details of her third album. Personally, she should have done that during the BRITs, but I guess the announcement of being one of the Glastonbury headliners seems huge as well, so they're going to carry the promotion and details of the album with that. That said, the album seems to be called Vertigo at this point (there's too many references about that) and it's slated to be released in Q2 (May or June), being inclined to think that it's June 7.

Regarding the picture in the studio, Dua is with her two background singers and her guitarist, so she must be practising some tunes of the album, not recording something new. Also, if everything is planned, which is something that we're kind of sure right now, the album is already done, so anything new will go to DSPs or a deluxe version of the album to drop later to extend the era.

Ooh Vertigo - I like that!

So if early June is the album release, we should get single 3 late April?
