Smile is an alright track. Definitely nowhere near my favourite on the album and I could have honestly done without it being a single although I do understand quite a few people enjoy this one. There are actually two different videos for this song, so I've included them both, but in doing so it made me realise that I've never actually seen the video for this until now. The performance video is actually much better in my opinion.

"Smile" should have stayed on the album as an ok moment, didn't work as a single at all, its far too peppy & feels more like a commercial than an actual song. These should have been the singles run from this album =

I would've liked to have seen Tucked become a single but honestly, this album has some good moments but it's not very consistent imo.

I actually quite like this as much as my own score of 06 towards this would mean. I could imagine it being released as a single now and it could potentially do something but then again, the 80's revival is fading now maybe I think? And it's probably too late into the era now as well. The video is quite nice. Nothing flashy though. Michael was the only person to award a score of 0 to any song, unless you include people who didn't even rate certain songs.

"Champagne Problems" - a nice filler moment that came about a decade to late, this sounds very 'Teenage Dream' era to me & if this came out round about that time, then this would have been another smash like them, but in 2020, its just there.

I disagree. I think the song is very now in terms of sounds of the moment. It's great.

Yeah, it's very Future Nostalgia with a touch of Adore You by Harry. It has that awful Crusty eyes lyric though.

Only Love is decent I guess? I'm personally not a fan but I can see why it gathered some high scores, although those two 11's aren't quite where I would have sent them. Quite a few low scores dragged this one back down to an average close to the others already revealed, so it lands here, at #9. One last thing I'd like to add is that I don't think that this song fits on the album at all, so I'm confused as to why it was included in the first place.

How anyone can rate this a 5 or under is beyond my comprehension and there were quite a few votes to score it a 5 or under. Very disappointing if you ask me. The video is one of the best of the 'Smile Video Series,' possibly even THE best but that's obviously up for debate and comes down to personal preference. I guess you could say the same thing regarding rating songs but whatever :lol:

The song itself is a bop! Definitely one of the better songs on this album. I say that as someone who overall enjoys this album as well! The whole Smile album is very cohesive bar maybe 1 song. Not bad.

I gave this my 11 because at the time I first heard it, it was what I needed. I was out of work, feeling bit useless and lost, felt distant from every one etc.

Both 'Only Love' & 'Tucked' are album highlights - 'OL' is a nice tender track that grows with each listen & 'Tucked' is just fabulous catchy bop. Both of these could have made decent singles, especially over dire tracks like 'Small Talk', 'Never Worn White' & 'Smile'.

I don't understand why so many people find this song so meh, or don't like it at all. It's a very nice song. It's Cute! Theres a lot to like about this song as well. It's catchy, the lyrics are quite smart, the melody is nice too. I especially love some of the notes Katy Perry hits when she's singing the song, the high ones particularly. The video is really good as well. Probably one of my favourites from the Smile album. Its fun!! And there's a dog. Aww the wee doggy :wub:

I only gave this a 7 myself but listening to it now again, I feel like maybe it deserved better, at least from me. Not that it would have made a difference to the end result I don't think. I'm not gonna check that though because I don't wanna be wrong :kink: the way this song starts is great and the vocals ooo boy. This might be one of my favourite Katy Songs with the way she slides and crescends with her voice. It really is gorgeous. It's quite the stomper of a track and just missing the top 5 might actually be a very criminal result.

'Small Talk' - Don't like this at all, it sounds very unfinished & doesn't go anywhere interesting. After 'NRO' built up hype for Katy again, 'ST' really killed all the momentum & its poor chart placings proved that, as she's never recovered & not likely to.

'Teary Eyes' - This is decent enough, but sounds way too similar to 'Cry About It Later' & having them next to each other on the album doesn't help.

I predict that either 'Not The End of the World' or 'Harleys In Hawaii' will drop next, gonna opt for the latter.

Teary Eyes is Top 5 easily, what a shame.
