Perfect night for bbc 2 to have a Cure night ❤️

I’m learning a lot as well didn’t realise there was beef between the Cure and New Order because the riff on the 1983 single ‘The Walk’ was similar to ‘Blue Monday’. Apparently that was the reason for the first line of ‘Friday I’m In Love’ which was ‘I don’t care if Mondays Blue’

Just listening to The Walk on the live set and it does sound a little bit like it I guess - would never have noticed without it being pointed out though

They were playing the TOTP performance in the previous programme and it sounds a lot similar hearing it there in a studio.
