In the years since, the quartet have exceeded any expectations placed on them, performing spirited pop that unapologetically shows off its members’ personalities and effortlessly fit in with the 2010s’ constantly shifting pop trends. Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall had all auditioned as solo singers when trying out for The X Factor but were put together early on in the show’s run, and their charisma and harmonies won over viewers. Little Mix’s first single from their 2012 debut album, “Wings”, was an ideal opening statement for them, its themes of empowerment boosted by a stomping beat and a sing-along-worthy chorus. Since then, they have channelled confident girl groups like the Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child as well as forward-thinking singers like Janet Jackson and Rihanna, with singles like the sparkling “Black Magic”, the defiant “Shout Out to My Ex” and 2017’s chaotic Stormzy collab “Power” combining no-nonsense lyrics with immediate beats. In 2020, they cemented their legacy both on record and with Little Mix: The Search, a reality show tasked with putting together a next-generation girl band—demonstrating that their goal since they were put together in the early 2010s has been lifting up women all over the world through energetic, danceable pop. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Little Mix 2011 01 Cannonball -NAS- 2012 01 Wings -1- 2012 03 DNA -2- 2013 12 Change Your Life -3- 2013 16 How Ya Doin'? I’m 18 years old and writing songs is my favorite thing to do in the world. I’ve been doing it for as long as I can remember and I fall more in love with it every day. The first song I ever got published was called “All I Want.” I wrote it for a show I act in and it was a super cool experience that opened up a lot of doors for me. On the last day before Covid lockdown, I met the team at Interscope/Geffen records and a producer named Dan Nigro for the first time. It turned out to be a very momentous day for so many reasons. I spent most of quarantine writing songs in my living room and producing them in a garage, including ‘drivers license’. It was always a really special song to me but I never expected the response it got. It absolutely blew my mind and I still to this day refuse to believe it all actually happened. The day I am writing this is actually the day that I turn in my debut album! I’m sooo excited for you to hear it and I feel so grateful that I get to make music for my job. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2020 32 All I Want -OST- 2021 01 drivers license -1- 2021 04 deja vu -2- 2021 01 good 4 u -3- 2021 05 traitor -AT- 2 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 4 x Top 20 | 5 x Top 40 | 5 x Top 100 Social Media Olivia Rodrigo http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_269.png
June 18, 20215 yr I'm so pleased for Little Mix. I didn't think 'Confetti' would do this well but I am so glad it has because it's a BOP and Saweetie's verse elevates it.
June 18, 20215 yr Sometimes I think they should change that 3 tracks rule to 2 tracks rule. Why? So you don't have to hear an extra 3 mins of Olivia each week?
June 18, 20215 yr 07 | 12 | 4th week Måneskin I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE Album track from Teatro d'Ira - Vol. I Released: 19th March 2021 Label: Sony Chart Statistics NE (03/06/2021) | 83-24-12-7 Sales: 40k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 35 Sales 26 Audio Streaming __ Video Streaming Video 0T-BCIFeqq8 Biography Måneskin is a beloved and critically-acclaimed young Italian 4-piece-band aged from 18 to 21: Damiano (vocals), Victoria (bass), Thomas (guitar) and Ethan (drums). Måneskin means “moonlight” in Danish, a tribute to the bassist’s origin. Group members have known each other since middle school, but they started playing together only in 2015. Their sound is marked by different musical influences: a mix of rock, rap/hip hop, reggae, funky and pop, tied together by the soul voice of the frontman Damiano. 2018 the band released "Morirò da Re" (triple platinum) and "Torna a casa" (quadruple platinum) to anticipate "Il ballo della vita" (double platinum), their first studio album entirely written by Måneskin. “Il ballo della vita” went straight in at #1 on Italian top charts with more than 170 million streams. Their 80-concert-tour with 66 sold-out shows and more than 140.000 tickets sold both in Italy and Europe well represents their high-impact on the current national musical scene. Then they moved to London where they began working on their last brand new album "Teatro d'ira - “Vol I”, entirely written by themself, released this year on March 19th and anticipated by “Vent’anni” (platinum) and “Zitti e buoni” (platinum), the song was presented at Sanremo Festival and won it. During Sanremo Festival Måneskin announced four concerts in Italian big Arenas (December 2021) and ticket went sold out in few days; In May they won the #Eurovision song contest with "Zitti e Buoni". - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2021 17 ZITTI E BUONI -1- 2021 07 I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE -AT- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 2 x Top 20 | 2 x Top 40 | 2 x Top 100 Social Media Måneskin http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png
June 18, 20215 yr 'Traitor' is gorgeous. Really happy it's done as well as it has done without a full push! Hopefully that means they'll focus on another song ('Brutal' please - but I suspect it'll be 'Happier') to elevate that instead.
June 18, 20215 yr Traitor is definitely the worst Olivia song I've heard, apart from maybe the HSM ones.
June 18, 20215 yr I still can't get over how insane this all is for Måneskin  top 10 ahhh so thrilled for them! Their music is bringing me a lot of joy at the moment
