Bournemouth did get off to a good start in the season to end up where they are at the moment though - although I guess a few more results against them might put their chances of promotion in jeopardy. Agree that QPR won't be the most straightforward of matches for them!

Hull City have sacked manager Grant McCann, less than a week after they were taken over by the Turkey-based Acun Medya Group.

McCann, 41, was in his third season in charge of the Tigers, having steered the club back to the Championship last term following relegation.

He departs the Tigers despite back-to-back wins which moved the club 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

Not really going to be sad to see him go, the second half of 19/20 was disgraceful and his constant inability to change tactics when things are going wrong was so hard to watch. :(

Hopefully a bright future for us with a new owner/manager!

The Football Association has sought observations from Wayne Rooney in relation to comments by the Derby County manager in a recent interview.

Rooney said he changed his studs to "long metal ones" when playing for Manchester United at Chelsea in 2006 as he "wanted to try and hurt someone".

United were beaten 3-0 and Chelsea won the Premier League that season.

"We knew if Chelsea won then they had won the league that day," said 36-year-old Rooney.

"Until my last game for Derby, I always wore the old plastic studs with the metal tip.

Blackburn top scorer Ben Brereton Diaz went off with a foot injury as new West Brom boss Steve Bruce picked up a point from his first home game in charge.

The hosts had the best chance of a low-key first half, Karlan Grant failing to connect with Darnell Furlong's cross.

Both sides had offside goals ruled out before 20-goal Brereton Diaz came off on 70 minutes after an attempted shot.
