Shrewsbury Town and Accrington Stanley have been fined by the FA for their part in a scuffle during their League One draw last month.

Both clubs admitted to failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

As a result Shrewsbury must pay £3,750, while Stanley have been fined £3,375.

Hopefully they'll learn from their errors in the future. Interesting that there isn't much evidence of the scuffle besides that article - I suppose most of the highlights videos/articles at that level are from the clubs themselves and it's fair enough that they wouldn't particularly want to mention the incident!

Being a manager really is brutal - last month Lee Johnson was Manager of the Month and this month he's been kicked out! Hopefully he'll find another club who want his services soon.

^ Indeed it is.

Further news, Matt Bloomfield has retired after serious concussion suffered back in August and has joined the coaching staff at Wycombe Wanderers.

Further developments at the PFA pertaining to this, looks like they are working with the families from what I have read here.

It's sad to see this this trend still being around - and I guess there's not too much they can do about it if drastic changes such as banning headers/changing the weight of the ball are out of the question. Informing players of the risks is of course a positive step, but when it comes down to scoring/defending a goal, I wonder whether it will make a difference?

A League One game was stopped for 10 minutes after a "barrage of abuse" including racism was said to be directed towards the opposition.

Referee Ross Joyce took Morecambe and Bolton players off the pitch on 88 minutes of the 1-1 draw.

Morecambe said they were aware of the allegations and would investigate.

"From minute one the barrage of abuse from directly behind the dugout was astonishing," Bolton boss Ian Evatt told BBC Radio Manchester.

"No protection. Encroachment, spitting and it takes the worst of all remarks - a racist remark - for somebody to stand up and do something about it.

Derek Adams has returned to manage Morecambe, less than a year after he left the club. Adams famously led them to the third tier of English football for the first time in their history last season

AFC Wimbledon chief executive Joe Palmer has stepped down after four years at the League One club.

Palmer joined the club as chief operating officer in 2018 before becoming CEO in 2019.

He oversaw the construction of the Dons' new stadium in Plough Lane, which the club moved to in 2020 - 29 years after they last played at the site.

Wimbledon are currently 20th in the table, two points above the relegation zone.

Maybe a shake-up at Wimbledon might give them the push they need to get out the relegation zone! It has been a long time since they've had a win (although I'm sure Mr. Robinson has done the best he can)
