July 16, 20213 yr A List - Radio 1 Absolute Absolute 20s Other Adds - Radio X & Record of the Week Virgin Blanket radio coverage and looks like he’ll enter Top 50 officially today too, hopefully he’ll get a hit out of this. Total Spotify streams for both versions are well over a million too.
July 16, 20213 yr Hoping this will provide him with his first top 40 single, it seems totally bizarre he hasn't yet managed to get one!
July 16, 20213 yr Hoping this will provide him with his first top 40 single, it seems totally bizarre he hasn't yet managed to get one! Just a shame that the physical isn’t released for another 12 weeks - it will coincide with the album release but not sure that’ll be enough to get it Top 40 considering it’ll be 3 months old then. Hoping all the radio activity will help him make the Top 40 before then though.
July 16, 20213 yr Enters painfully close to the Top 40 today at #44, Will We Talk? remains his highest peaking single at #43 - really hope he gets a smash from this album. Edited July 16, 20213 yr by ___∆___
July 16, 20213 yr Yeh as I said in another thread why not push to get the vinyl release for opening week like Coldplay have done before, a top 40 single for an indie artist is surely no bad thing?!
July 16, 20213 yr Nobody outside of chart fans are going to be aware whether it reaches #44 or #36 etc though - so I doubt it's of too much concern to the label.
July 16, 20213 yr Im not so sure, his label would like a top 40 hit imo even for Music Week articles. Im not saying it matters that hes not made it thats why the songs are instantly available nowadays but it looks good.
July 30, 20213 yr New deluxe version has been announced for the album with 5 bonus tracks including the fan favourite ‘Angel Of Lothian’
August 11, 20213 yr Doing really well so far tbh - it’s gone 44-63-70-60 on the charts (I was expecting it to disappear after the first week). Also the video to the b-side ‘Howdon Aldi Death Queue’ was released tonight - tr9GJ-hFN7I
August 11, 20213 yr Howdon Aldi Death Queue. That is quite the song, eh? Didn't expect to actual like it that much but... woah!!
August 13, 20213 yr Saw him in Bristol last night for the opening night of his Covid cancelled tour - Seventeen Going Under & Howdon Aldi Death Queue went down a storm!
August 13, 20213 yr I honestly just can’t get away with his accent. :drama: The music is pretty good but it just puts me right off!
August 13, 20213 yr I honestly just can’t get away with his accent. :drama: The music is pretty good but it just puts me right off! His accent massively lifts his music for me :/

August 16, 20213 yr His accent massively lifts his music for me :/ I think it’s because I live in the city centre literally NE1 postcode, so hear it every minute of the day. Same with Sarah Millican, her accent puts me right off, almost sounds fake.
