He's teasing something else, possibly an album too??
Yes. Announcement to be revealed later tonight.

I initially thought that there was a possibility of a live show because of the flyers in other teasers, but a source said that it's an album.

Super excited for this, massive fan of him. We also have his Dave feature coming out at midnight too. Seems he always chooses to release big songs at the same time as a feature (Feel Away & Godspeed)
Absolutely in love, excited for the album. SZA and JID features extremely interesting, was looking forward to another Travis Scott collaboration but we'll probably see that on UTOPIA.

Oh very nice song! Love at first listen!

Is it written or produced by Finneas I guess?

No, it's not. FINNEAS only appears in the video.

As a side note, "Life Is Not The Same" will be out tomorrow.

Oooft, really loving “Life Is Not The Same”, this really hits hard. The vocals, lyrics and production on this are just perfect. What a mood !

Famous Last Words takes quite a long time to grow but it's finally there! Can't wait to hear the full album!
'Funeral' is the next single, a new version featuring slowthai is out tomorrow and premiering as Hottest Record on Radio 1.

That seems very soon to be dropping a new version of an album track - surely means it must have been put together a while before the album release, I wonder why it wasn't just the album version?

'feel away' was fantastic anyway so cool to see James & slowthai making another song together.

Very excited to hear the rest of this album, the three singles have all been great (I think 'Life Is Not The Same' is my fave of the three but the strings that kick in in the last minute of 'Famous Last Words', ooft). Not that I expect any less from James Blake.

Of course Pitchfork gave him a bad review

And complain he’s too normal now :/

Define 'normal' please Pitchfork? :kink: I can't think of anyone who is similar to him production wise which makes his music unique and interesting

Friendly reminder of my post from the 'Assume Form' thread:

Pitchfork has a tendency to just conveniently happen to give worse reviews to artists who have been critical of them (which James Blake has been since the release of his last album, calling them out for describing 'Don't Miss It' as 'sad boy music'). Kinda ruins their credibility a bit. Compare this to pretty much every single other review of the album (it has an 82 on Metacritic even after Pitchfork's review, it was at 90 before that) and it definitely seems like that score is more getting back at him rather than his actual music.

Surprise surprise Pitchfork is once again giving him his lowest review score xx (though it is a higher score than they gave AF).

Funnily enough this album has exactly the same score as AF on Metacritic right now (80).
