There have been rumours for ages that Ariana is on the Drake album but I don't think anything is confirmed (except the release date). This one is an actual album and not just a mixtape so unless he has had a change of heart probably expect another Scorpion-esque bloated album full of commercial songs.

If the lead single features Ariana then i could really see it debuting at # next week

'Hurricane' has taken over as Kanye's highest song on Apple (has done in the US as well), although the 2 versions of 'Jail' are definitely separated there so likely ahead combined.

Spotify is now showing separate play counts for the different versions of 'Jail' and 'Ok Ok' so I expect they'll be uncombined in tomorrow's update. (The last time I checked earlier it wasn't yet showing the play counts for any of the tracks). 'Jail Pt 2' has a higher play count than 'Jesus Is Lord Pt 2' so it should definitely have been in today's update if it wasn't being combined.

The issue is it didn't come out with the release of the album, it was added much later in the day, so the play-count is from a much shorter period than Jail or Jesus is Lord, Pt II should show up on tomorrows update.

The playcounts on Spotify only update once per day, covering the same time period as the daily charts. 'Jail Pt 2' has more plays than 'Jesus Is Lord Pt 2' despite missing out on a few hours of streams.

'Jail' registered 8.74 million streams on today's global Spotify chart, on the album 'Jail' has 7.30m and 'Jail Pt 2' has 1.48m. Compared to all of the other tracks (except 'Ok Ok') having nearly identical numbers on the album and on the global chart (a few thousand difference for each song, not sure where the discrepancy comes from). They are definitely combined.

on Apple, Hurricane up to #2 and Jail to #3

so he has: 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20

24,26,27,29,30,35,36,37,38, 42,45,51,62 and 67

thanks for the 3-track rule :D

Jail is phenomenal - I hope whether it is combined or not, it is a smash and the two parts malarkey doesn't hinder that! Off The Grid is a banger too, so hoping that's the third charting song for him!

You'd think Jail would get HH'ed over Hurricane

Jail still #1 today, Hurricane #3, Off The Grid #4, OK OK #5

Kanye now has 18 of the top 27 - Heat Waves would have been #10 otherwise :o

Yeah his second day global is 100m streams. Bigger than first day... Pretty insane.

If ever the argument for the 3 song rule was more evident, despite people constantly admonishing it - when a megastar releases an album you get this sort of issue. (Although it could do with a tweak to actually be 3 songs instead of cycling the whole album).

Spotify Top 20 with OCC rules applied:

1) Kanye West - 'Jail' (576,354)

2) The Kid LAROI, Justin Bieber - 'STAY' (469,915)

3) Ed Sheeran - 'Bad Habits' (446,641)

4) Kanye West - 'Hurricane' (426,888)

5) Kanye West - 'Off The Grid' (404,945)

6) Lil Nas X ft. Jack Harlow - 'INDUSTRY BABY' (260,696)

7) Becky Hill, David Guetta - 'Remember' (229,736)

8) Jonasu - 'Black Magic' (222,040)

9) Billie Eilish - 'Happier Than Ever' (209,390)

10) Doja Cat - 'Need To Know' (206,806)

11) Dave ft. Stormzy - 'Clash' (200,262)

12) Digga D, ArrDee - 'Wasted' (182,507)

13) Joel Corry, Jax Jones ft. Charli XCX, Saweetie - 'OUT OUT' (175,175)

14) Doja Cat - 'Woman' (173,789)

15) Rain Radio, DJ Craig Gorman - 'Talk About' (155,568)

16) Sleepy Hallow - '2055' (154,248)

17) Olivia Rodrigo - 'good 4 u' (149,344)

18) Tones And I - 'Fly Away' (138,493)

19) Anne-Marie, Little Mix - 'Kiss My (Uh Oh)' (138,440)

20) Ed Sheeran - 'Visiting Hours' (125,616)

none of the Kanye tracks are showing up on Amazon... is it not available? or Alexa doesn't approve?

Kanye should be allowed an album bomb imo. I don't like his music (or personality) at all, but if he has 27 of the 100 most popular tracks of the week then he should have 27 entries in the OCC Top 100 for the week. The chart is simply meant to be an accurate representation of the most popular tracks of the week and the 3 song rule and ACR prevent it from doing its job properly imo

Impressive from Kanye.

Do we know why Heat Waves is rebounding - is it TikTok? Up for that getting a re-set and a new peak, even if Top 10 is a long shot.

Omg what's causing that boost for Heat Waves? :deadbanana:

Glass Animals having one the biggest/longest-lasting hits of the year, imagine telling me that five years ago

Jail still seems to be combined in the Spotify charts, even though some other part 2s on the album aren’t. It’s streams might not be as high as they seem if OCC doesn’t combine the two

On Apple Music Hurricane is higher than Jail but Jail part 2 is at #38

I feel like this a discussion we've all already made our minds up on but the reality is prior to streaming album bombs simply weren't possible due to singles being released separately to albums. I don't think it's all that unreasonable to keep hold of the distinction between singles and albums by capping the number of songs eligible from an album for the singles chart. What I do find unreasonable is the idea that you cycle the whole albums tracks as long as the albums popular, just choose a few lead singles to be eligible for the chart and be done with it.
