August 5, 20213 yr But the two albums only share Rockstar as a producer. Just Don’t Need This could be a OT hangover, it’d fit stylistically. But then again Stronger is supposed to be from a proper 2.0 session so maybe not. Ach who knows. Would love a tell all from Keisha and Mutya one day on 2.0/3.0 that actually picks apart what stuff was carried over. I don’t see it as a bad thing at all, like NGDA is a great track and it’s great it was rescued from the bin after Taller but I would love to hear the original Marius DeVries was involved with Stronger though so clearly that's from a different session from Just Don't Need This, but yeah. I'd assume that most stuff that carried over from London were at best used as b-sides and bonus tracks so Just Don't Need This is a good guess and I'd assume Groove Is Going On based on the credits of only having Keisha and Mutya on the credits (same thing happened with supposed cast-offs from 2.0 to 3.0 - only Heidi and Keisha ended up being credited and it does seem like they had some form of agreement that they all got credited as Sugababes up until Catfights even if they had no part in writing the track). August 5, 20213 yr Author Yeah. I assume with some of the Taller cast offs that it’s more because Mutya was pregnant and new born so wasn’t around for the sessions compared to the rest of the 2.0 stuff. I think Keisha is defo the main writer and Mutya comes and goes. Now they’re all back I can imagine Siobhan being a bit writing influence too. I can see Just Don’t Need This being 1.0, it’s more their style than 2.0. And yeah I agree on Groove too that was defo a pre-Heidi track and another you could hear on One Touch. Will be interesting to see the credits on the demos to see what producers and co-writers were involved and this what else from Angels or even the Three era could potentially be 1.0 cast offs

Will be interesting to see the credits on the demos to see what producers and co-writers were involved and this what else from Angels or even the Three era could potentially be 1.0 cast offs I think it's obvious that from Taller and forward Keisha was the main songwriter in the group; if the writing credits for Catfights is any indication, then you had Keisha with solo credit on six tracks, Amelle on one and then one track where Keisha, Heidi and Amelle were all credited. If that was how 3.0 worked on normal mode then I could see why they eventually fell apart, especially if the other girls felt pushed out of having more influence with producers talking mostly with the de facto leader of the group (Keisha). All Saints seemingly fell apart due to this issue, even if they seem okay now with Shaznay being the main songwriter.
August 5, 20213 yr Author Yeah I agree. I do wonder if it was Mutya stepping back during Taller that saw Keisha kinda become the main writer and then things kinda just escalated from there. Amelle never really talked so much about writing from my memory and they never actually worked with Xenomania again where they would have had Amelle writing. Really interesting to think about

Really interesting to think about Honestly, I'm not surprised that as a "new girl" Amelle might not have wanted to stir the pot too much. I could see producers naturally turning to Keisha as she was the senior member, even if it's kind of surprising that Heidi only had one co-write on Catfights and that was where the other two were credited (Sunday Rain). But I think it's common that producers turn to one person to be honest - in 1.0 producers apparently turned to Siobhan, in 2.0 it seemed like Mutya was given extra attention, but I get the impression that she's too laid back to take the lead on things which might be why there doesn't seem to have been any major troubles until her pregnancy and her turning flakey. In other groups you sort of see the same thing where producers focus on one person as the given "lead". Thankfully that seems to have balanced out with MKS, probably because they know by now that it inevitably leads to huge issues and resentment later.
August 5, 20213 yr I can definitely hear 1.0 in Groove Is Going On and now you mention it a little bit in Just Don’t Need This as well. I agree I’d love an in depth about the songs that but passed through the line ups.
August 13, 20213 yr Was just about to post! Official acknowledgement at last. And that image looks amazing.
August 13, 20213 yr And Facebook too, but I won't bother posting. So excited for this. Such a great idea. For once, we're actually being spoiled.
August 13, 20213 yr Author Im not sure if we can embed the Facebook posts on here which is why I usually just pull the Insta and Twitter ones  As you said it’s nice to see it acknowledged. I do wonder a little if there was a light Pause out of respect for Keisha while she made arrangements and had the funeral. Less for her to think on and that
August 13, 20213 yr And now on Twitter too!!! @1426203954384416770 I'm not a big fan of this album but even I'm tempted by that, it looks stunning!!
August 13, 20213 yr Author Theres defo some MKS era pics in that booklet. I agree, it looks stunning! I can’t wait to get hold of it
August 13, 20213 yr A tad annoying that it's only available to order for UK adresses, but I guess they want to ensure as many chart sales as possible?
August 13, 20213 yr This should hopefully help get a few extra sales, even is it’s only a tiny amount.
August 13, 20213 yr Author A tad annoying that it's only available to order for UK adresses, but I guess they want to ensure as many chart sales as possible? Yeah it’s rather irritating. I’ll have to wait until Christmas to actually get my hands on it but I guess I at least still have my parents address to ship it to
August 14, 20213 yr LOL, well if anyone is willing to buy it for me and ship it my PM box is right there I guess 🤷
September 25, 20213 yr Has anyone been able to guess what the track lengths are for this? No, since it's not being released digitally I'm guessing we won't know until someone gets the disc in their hands.
