AJ was the absolute highlight for me! I've never seen a week ONE jive like THAT  Incredible!

Rose is an inspiration  She looked gorgeous and she was actually better than I thought she was going to be. I think she's going to go on a real journey.

John was brilliant and I can't bloody wait to see what he does next. I'm already dreaming of him doing a salsa

Great first show! I'm so glad Strictly's back in my life :cheeseblock: The countdown to Christmas has officially started!

Oh and Shirley was thoroughly unpleasant tonight  I actually found how she spoke to Greg uncomfortable to watch.

Shirley is gross, I wouldn't mind her giving lower scores if she had something to critique like Craig but she will just give a false positive comment then give a 4 or some shit. And that was actually the joint lowest she gave all night, no chance was Rose worse than all of those. Even if you take out the fact she's deaf, I thought that was a great first Jive. If she can already do that, when she gets to grips with it all and it becomes second nature, she's going to be incredible, and she's so likeable too so I think she's my tip to win right now. AJ was INSANE too, that would be a smash any week but to come out with that week 1!! Nina was my other favourite alongisde those two, I expected her with a Samba week 1 to potentially be one of those classic first week awful Sambas that sees you swiftly out the door but she was great.

The standard seems so high this year, I'm thinking we will have a fair few shocks if most of them keep to this standard as there's going to be so many in the mix for a high score and one bad week could see a favourite leave.

The women of colour really brought it in week 1, Nina in particular coped a lot better with the Samba than I expected her to!

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Tom Fletcher and his dance partner, Amy Dowden, have tested positive for Covid-19, the BBC has said.

The pair will miss Saturday's show and are now self-isolating separately, the broadcaster said.

The BBC added "that all being well, they will return the following week".

Fletcher, a singer, songwriter and author, is best known for being one of the lead vocalists of pop rock band McFly.

On Sunday, the band's Twitter account said he was unwell and would not be onstage for their performance in Glasgow tonight.

"He sends huge and heartfelt apologies to all the fans he won't see tonight. The show will still be going ahead, we're looking forward to seeing you all and need you guys to sing extra loud for us tonight."

AJ was so good I had to rewind and watch again.

Hoping she joins John and Rose at the end

What a show tonight. And the leaderboard completely shaken up with Sara going from being bottom last week to literally doubling her score.

Who are thinking is gonna be the dreaded first boot?

A few things..

Tilly was the biggest shock of the night. The Charleston really suited her.

I fear John's going to peak too soon.

Dan Walker needs to leave.

Anton is an absolute breath of fresh air to the judging panel.

I can't wait to see Rose and Gio's Couples Choice. It could be a real moment. I'm forever in awe of her.

Think it'll be Katie vs. Ugo or Nina with Nina sadly going.

I'd rather Katie go. I find her rather cold and her partnership with Gorka just isn't clicking. Zero chemistry.

Interesting you say that about Katie! Seems like a common opinion although I don’t think I’ve seen it myself but it’s definitely something a few have picked up on her and Gorka supposedly not getting along.

She’s in a vulnerable position tonight as Sara and Tilly both hugely improved from last week as they were in danger zone on just last weeks scores. I feel like Nina could potentially have a public vote to keep her from leaving first but then I also feel Otis fanbase may save Ugo and the fact they performed towards the end too.

The spoiler should be out there soon

I feel the same about Katie, she really leaves me cold and the partnership's chemistry isn't there. I find her hard to warm to which is a shame because I loved her in Corrie. I wouldn't be surprised if she went first to be honest, I could see her in the bottom with Ugo or Greg and based on this week, she would most likely go in the dance-off. Nina could be in the mix too and she would go which would be sad to see after what she was capable of last week, this series is so wide open though I think it will be one of those where one bad week could be it for you, so the likes of Katie who have plateaued in both dances will definitely struggle.

confirmed result in spoiler

Nina is the first eliminated celebrity!

She was in dance off with Katie. Anton saved Nina all other judges saved Katie.

Katie is very hard to take to your heart, there is some hugely distancing with her that is off-putting.

No loss at all. I got the feeling that she wasn't particularly enjoying herself. I'll miss seeing my beautiful Gorka every week

Still can't stop thinking about Rose and Gio's Foxtrot :cheeseblock:
