Pretty good going, over 3k is really good.

I've just rewatched the video again and honestly I do like the choreography in the second chorus and wish there was more of that....but I never noticed how often she scrunches her face up and sticks her tongue out throughout the whole thing. It's really distracting.

 

Also are those gun signs she's doing with her fingers on that 2nd chorus? And is Nicki doing a gay 'limp wrist' thing on her verse? :lol:

i honestly see this being a 4/5 week top 40 chart run if i’m being honest and I honestly think she’s going to struggle with single two as all the hype will have died down and if anything it’s positions show it’s first week debut was due to the barbz and the media attention drama. I think her solo career is done before it started.

I don't think you can say it was down to the Barbz considering Nicki's songs have been flopping ever since Woman Like Me...

 

Let's not write off Jesy's career just because you don't like her and it is clear you want her to fail judging by your previous comments about her.

 

I enjoyed BOYZ and i'm more than excited for new music, if you're not that's fair enough but constant negativity about her is a bit much.

 

LSL peaked and debuted at 33 and fell to 56 on the second week and i'm not making harsh comments about them that their career will never recover.

 

Whether you like her or not she's scored a Top 5 hit and debuted in the Top 5 and that is amazing, so even if this does disappear no-one can take that from her.

 

I think she's got the talent to pull off amazing songs and performances. Also obviously there'll be less hype for a second single, like there always is. I'm sure she'll work hard for her other songs to do well, whether that works out is up to her. I think if she deals with things better and learns from the controversy and takes action she's still got a good chance of doing well.

The drop isn't THAT bad given lots of little mix fall to about there before climbing again, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did have a Bounce Back type run.

Yeah, we'll see if this can recover, with that said, I'd be more curious about how single #2 will perform. I'm not really seeing what on earth they can do with it considering the backlash she's gotten over various things. Will they go for another R&B uptempo (which might bring more accusations of blackfishing)? Or try to damage control with a ballad and toned-down image?

She probably has songs on the album about the girls or songs that could be interpreted that way (just like Cut You Off) so i can see her team wanting her to go for a song like that for her next single, especially after all of the buzz CYO has been getting in the press.

 

I honestly cant predict how the next single will do? Boyz had a great debut but that was obviously partly due to the hype of it being her first ever solo single. The hype won’t be anywhere near as big for the next song, especially after all of this backlash she has been receiving.

 

I can see her featuring on a dance song soon and maybe having a few big collabs though.

Without the barbs, most little mix fans, or first single buzz GP curiousness, I fear single two will possibly be dead on arrival.

Where can she go now? She’s obviously been recording R&B type tracks and with her street style image, so she either steers away from that whole look and doesn’t use aspects of culture or continues as she is.

 

Either way she’s put herself in an impossible place because changing her image will just prove everyone’s point that you can’t just dip in and out of cultures to market music.

 

She’s lost a lot of the LM fans because of the Leigh drama.

 

If I signed her to my label I genuinely would be worried and not really know how best to move on from it all.

 

I have been really negative towards her but she really has create these issues herself, If she handled that live in the correct way there would have been some chance of redemption.

 

She should of just owned the video, made her point about cultural appropriation. Apologised massively for any offence caused and she did explain her reasoning which I think some would of accepted but it got lost in that bitter live.

 

She’s broken all ties with LM - So she’ll end up being a brand deal queen...

I guess we'll see if it can recover during the week and if it's just the weekend/Adele effect that's pushing her down so fast. Though I'm wondering if she's been dropped off/moved down on playlists due to everything surrounding it.
