I somehow doubt that figure to be fair.

Apart from a few days on the iTunes chart, it’s done absolutely nothing there.

No way is that true. iTunes is completely dead and she was out of the top 100 within a few days. She's lucky if she's sold about 10K.

Lol that's harsh

I don't think it's a lie. At the release of the song, the Hot 100's predictions were 8,000 copies sold in the first week. They were also #1 on Amazon US with digital copies and I guess the Barbz are great at buying digital versions!

Yeah, I very much doubt it's sold 200k there - it sounds like a fan made up that number. It's high enough to be slightly impressive, but not high enough that we can verify it with outside sources (ie certifications). It's like when someone claimed Cinderella's Eyes had sold 50k - high enough number to sound slightly impressive, but not high enough to be certified (60k).

Fake news about the USA.

In UK, the song has sold 104k in... 7 weeks.

The song is already OUT in Ireland.

It's really bad.

I think she would have been best served waiting til next year. It seems the general public are a bit little mixed out.

Eh, I don't think the timing was the issue here - it debuted well in week one but essentially was killed by all the drama surrounding it. She would've just been better off with going with something else + having better management and some media coaching.

If Jesy isn't media trained after ten years it's not going to happen now

Maybe it sold 200k worldwide?

  • 2 weeks later...

I think it held up relatively well. Could it have done better? Yes. At least it didn't sink like a stone after one week never to be seen again.

I'm looking forward to single 2 though. I'm guessing it'll come in Feb/March?

Maybe it sold 200k worldwide?

@nickistatsyt on Twitter reported that sold 200k in the US only, but on the other hand, the worldwide sales (SPS) lends me 212k sold worldwide... So confused!

iTunes is completely dead and there's no way she's sold 200K in under two months just from being in the top 100 for a day or two. The US figure is completely made up.

As for the 212K 'worldwide' I'd imagine 200K of that is from the UK...

What are its total sales for the UK?

100k+.

I have a 117k+ figure in my head but not sure how accurate that is.

I wonder what her setlist will be tomorrow at the Jingle Bell Ball or whether it'll just be BOYZ.
