Making waves in the charts and online with prior releases, PinkPantheress (a currently nameless 20 year old producer from Bath) has released the TikTok smash 'Just for me' this week.

Love this - she is very talented. There is such a nostalgia to her songs but they sound so current. Some old school 00s garage beats brought in to 2021, I'm a fan.

Not heard this song yet but as I don't think we have a relevant thread for her other recent minor hits let me use this thread to enquire why 'Passion' isn't the song that's properly blown up for her. That's wayyyyy better than the other two that have charted. 'Pain' is actually my least favourite of the three oops, I don't dislike it but it doesn't really have a strong hook to it and it's over way too quickly to leave any lasting impression? It's ok for a short vibe out I guess but not getting why that's the one people have latched onto the most ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

'Break It Off' is also a good tune but pretty much entirely because of the Adam F sample, I doubt I'll be going back to the PinkPantheress version as I don't think she really adds much to it lol

Just for Me I am liking the most of her hits so far, the ridiculously short song lengths do go against them though for me too, but probably appeals more to TikTok audience who don't have any attention span whatsoever.
