I think overexposure is linked to people having an appetite for new music. It's important to give people a chance to miss you. This is something Ed does quite well - he goes away between eras and gives people a break from him before returning with a comeback moment. Love (Sweet Love) is just the latest in a succession of Little Mix singles that have come out this year so it doesn't feel like a lead single moment, and there was little appetite for it. The Weeknd's had something similar with Take My Breath I think, releasing it while Save Your Tears was still top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic hasn't exactly helped it.

Overexposure can harm the opening for songs/ artists but if an artist is getting full support a few weeks down the line it doesn't make much different. The public aren't feeling the song.

When it's put like this I agree. But I do think Ed isn't really a great example when his music is still so consistently and majorly played even when he's on a break (or at least it bloody feels like it )

I do think HA and KM(UO) have overshadowed it and are still big hits atm, to the point that I don't think it matters *too* much that this hasn't really done anything. But I assume pressure will be heightened for the next one if we get it before the album?

Kiss My is still doing well. It peaked 2 weeks ago and had climbed back to 12. HA is still being played everywhere too.

I think this may get a little more love in the coming weeks but no big deal if it doesn't. They've had 4 consecutive top 10s for the first time since 2016. They had a no.1 for the first time since 2016. Two of the releases became their longest running top 10s.

They're at a good enough position to not worry. There are much bigger artists who will have singles miss the top 40 entirely.

They've never actually had consecutive top 10s like they've done this year. Hair jinxed it in 2016, and No More Sad Songs jinxed it in 2017 (both bops BTW). So yes, this is arguably their best year ever.

Ah true. I always forget that Hair didn't go top 10.

Let’s face it if even the fans aren’t feeling this the GP are unlikely to be.

Any recent releases I’ve heard mentioned / played by mates, this absolutely zero.

It’s just such a poor song it’s really starting to remind me of BB too.

I don’t mind it but it is all over the place, the chorus is weak, it’s way too complex in terms of vocal layering, too many growls, Jade to this day I still haven’t a clue what she is singing in parts (Haven’t even been bothered to look it up)

It’s such a sad release, I’m guessing it has just been made a promo single now?!

I’m worried about ‘No’ if it’s similar to this or isn’t insanely catchy it might suffer the same fate.

I don't think the next single will suffer the same. It will be released around the same time as the album so there will be more attention put on it and being three months after the birth it is more likely we will see some promotion.

You would’ve though that after the poor performance of Bounce Back they would have stayed clear of using samples and going with a throwback sound.

Hopefully now they’ve learnt and that the remaining tracks are more original sounding.

overexposure is not a thing when artists like olivia rodrigo, drake and taylor swift have had several hits out at the same time.

i also don't get why people are calling LSL dated when it literally has a similiar to 'Kiss'???

I really do not see any performances, Leigh/Perrie seem to just keep mentioning that they can't wait for tour and they'll take it easy until then.

It'd be nice if we had interviews with the three but I get if we don't :) I think they should rest as most people have 9 months to a year off work after giving birth.

It's different to have album out than just single every 4 weeks (like The Weeknd and LM recently)

Personally Kiss My is instantly catchy LSL doesn’t have a strong enough chorus.

68 in mids

At this point I feel like that’s good considering how badly it’s doing on streaming.

Kiss My has a decent chorus but its weak everywhere else - quality wise LSL is definitely better - the chorus isn't as strong and the post chorus should've just been the outro to the song but it definitely has a better verse/pre-chorus/bridge

kiss my just took off because it was released as Anne-Marie's album release single - so they wanted to put everything behind it whereas RCA clearly didn't care about LSL..?

Acoustic and Dopamine edit out tomorrow. I do love this song!

Tbh it's doing well for a buzz single ^_^

Oh god the remix is horrendous.

The acoustic isn’t much better.

This really is such a massive misfire.

I honestly think the girls missed a trick not re-recording Happiness and releasing it as the first single from the Greatest Hits, but also keeping the Confetti album streams high (like what The Weekend did with Save Your Tears on his Greatest Hits).

LSL continues to have no replay value for me.
