Ok this is getting quite tempting now  I'd rather not support it on One Touch week though

I understand your dilemma! I'm just telling myself it'll be good for the brand to have two charting albums at the same time, regardless of which charts higher (please be One Touch).

Today's Amazon update:

#139 in CDs & Vinyl

#20 in Box Sets (CDs & Vinyl)

#64 in Pop

For such a low key release with absolutely no acknowledgement from the band/Universal, this is doing pretty decently.

Fan power!!!

They’re defo a big enough name to warrant this. Hopefully a chart position without any promo or acknowledgment will be a helpful piece in the puzzle for new music as it demonstrates the brand power

That is true! 2 albums in one week, who'd have ever predicted this.

Exactly! If this means they go on tour/get to release new music, then I'm all for it (horrendous 3.0 cover and all ).

We’re being spoiled! We waited long enough

It's a relief they didn't use a 4.0 cover, imagine

You know what? You're so right. My expectations when it comes to higher management and Sugababes are extremely low, but I need to give them credit on this occasion. As history has shown, it could have been much worse.

Could've been something similar to the Freedom artwork

I would have to make my own to replace it in that case

In that case I'd have hesitantly ordered a copy... and then immediately smashed it up before carefully placing it in the bin, where it belongs.

Did we actually think it would do anything at the time  I can't remember, there was no buzz behind it that's all I can recall.

Those sales sound pretty low in comparison of what you hear these days. I mean, I don't expect the Sugababes to outsell Gaga or Britney but I am being completely delusional to hope at least for 200k-300k for the first single?
The track is "unlike anything the 'Babes have done before and has Jamaican/Reggae influences, samba beats and an awesme hook".

And that's only from the first page!

But at least Quarantilas called it an "utter f***ing tune!!!"

Ahem:

Sounds AMAZING, I'm so excited now its unbelievable

Ahaahaha:

Big battle for releases on September 4th: Pixie 'All About Tonight', Leona 'Collide' and Sugababes 'Freedom'! I feel there may be some release date changes :D

I liked Freedom  back then I would stan anything that involved Heidi.

Cringing though  don't think I can read anymore.

I have since had my ears cleaned.

To be fair. It wasn’t awful back then, but it wasn’t a Sugababes track and it’s aged horridly because it was so of the moment

They had a fair few TV performances of it at the time I'm sure  nothing major though. I bet it would've charted like 30-35.
It was getting zero radio play so I’m not sure it have even got that far

The interest just literally died didn't it  they probably did the right thing cancelling the single release.
