Posted August 20, 20213 yr So to me, this is really not a ballad… I get that the lyrics are quite emotional, but then that could be said for the majority of Steps songs if you think about it. I don’t see people saying One for Sorrow or Deeper Shade of Blue are ballads but if you read those lyrics without hearing the songs, you’d probably assume they were! It’s the Way You Make Me Feel seems decidedly mid tempo to me… in a way a lot of Swedish pop is from that era. I don’t think much separates the tempo of this and, say, Always Come Back to Your Love by Samantha Mumba, but I’m sure most would regard that as upbeat or mid tempo bop? August 20, 20213 yr 100% a mid tempo, I've never considered that it might be viewed as a ballad. It just doesn't sound ''ballad like'' at all.

August 20, 20213 yr Mid tempo I guess? WISG and WANE are clearly ballads for example. Yeah that’s kind of how I view it.
