Apparently "What the Future Holds Pt. 2 (Afterparty Edition)" digital deluxe album will be coming at some point before the end of the sales week!

Yeah I don't think any of the albums below Steps are likely to overtake them. Drake's only managed 7.8k so far and 1.6k of that was yesterday. Famous last words, but I would say Top 2 is guaranteed for Steps.

1. 19,962 - Manic Street Preachers [12,094 CDs / 5,738 Vinyl / 1,102 Cassettes / 752 Downloads / 276 Streaming]

2. 18,864 - Steps [14,459 CDs / 1,804 Downloads / 1,441 Vinyl / 795 Cassettes / 365 Streaming]

 

The vinyl and cassette sales for Steps - I'm a little let down by those, but they hardly helped themselves by only having one of each.

 

Anyway it's interesting that Steps are performing more strongly on downloads and streaming than Manics!

 

So ahead on most formats. It’s just the vinyl and cassettes letting them down.

Just think how it might have been had they done a HMV and an Amazon exclusive vinyl then had another edition on their store available!

Did a playlist on YouTube Music but removed HITC purely so the rest of the songs lower streams don’t drag it down. If everyone on this forum listened to it on repeat we could help them clinch it.

I can’t understand why their record company dropped the ball with the vinyl and cassette releases. A HMV/Amazon exclusive would have easily guaranteed them number 1 now.

BMG seem to have dropped the ball a few times.

If anyone is on Popjustice can you let them know about the To The One remix being on the standard CD too.

If Steps had as many vinyls as Manic's do they might have had similar sales on the vinyl front... the lack of a HMV / Amazon one is a really poor decision.

Is anyone else just a little worried Manic have sales not added yet from the official store as they added signed prints and new bundles yesterday I think? So I’m pretty sure given they hardly sold anything these might not have been added yet?

Steps have sales not added too. Plus streaming form YouTube and Apple Music is still to be added.

Crazy decision from BMG not to have vinyl availability on HMV and Amazon, they really let them down with that.

I would welcome that but believe the battle is far from over.

It's starting to look like it could either way and we wont know until the chart is officially released.
