My main frustration about this chart battle is that Steps may have had an easier time of it with a couple more vinyl editions, available in Amazon/HMV :(

 

Manic Street Preachers have five different versions of the vinyl... and that has paid off for them!

 

1. Black Vinyl

2. Black Vinyl with bonus 7" Vinyl

3. Black Vinyl - Alternate Artwork

4. Picture Disc Vinyl

5. Yellow Vinyl

 

In fairness to Manics, they certianly didn't go as wild with CD formats as Steps did - as far as I can tell there's just 2 Manics CDs, whereas Steps have 8.

 

However, if you disregard all the official store exclusives... Steps only have 2 different CDs available on Amazon, and 3 in HMV - but no vinyl on either store. Whereas Manics' CDs and also some vinyl versions are widely available.

I just downloaded them fully, but I’m guessing that’ll count to Australian sales.

 

I got the album artwork on iTunes by doing so too. :)

I meant to say that Living In A Lie is my favourite song on the album, a definite sonic successor to Something In Your Eyes.

 

Wow at Thomas G:son writing them an original song. I say original, it was probably rejected by Linda Bengtzing/Shirley Clamp for Melfest or something seeing as it clocks in around the 3 minute mark.

 

Love the power ABBA chorus, but my favourite part is when the track slows down slightly for Faye's line around 2 minutes in, prior to the chorus before the key change. Gorgeous chords there.

:wub: It's a huge highlight for me too. If the intention was to create a song that captured the sound of ABBA, then vocally and production wise, they really nailed it! I hope it makes it to the tour setlist!

Last year I randomly received a mailer from Pop Smoke's label, when his album was in contention for #1. The email was sent on a Wednesday, and it said:

 

"After 11 weeks in the Top 10 in the UK album charts, Pop Smoke ‘Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon could be #1 this week. Keep streaming, downloading & sharing. Streaming counts until midnight tonight, Official Store until 3pm tomorrow, and after that only Itunes until midnight."

 

So if you're thinking of ordering physical products, it seems that to be on the safe side, it could be wise to order it before 3pm!

It’s obvious that a lot have bought the albums but just not actually downloaded them given they did a whole email on it too.

 

We all up for buying just one more physical copy? Haha

Mine dispatched within the last hour - the Post Office received it at 12:13pm! Not received an email about it though. I used Royal Mail 48 tracking.
