:cheer: thank the lord (and the niche 3am nightclub vibe voters from semi 1). Kathaldazia through in the same post is greatly pleasing as well :cheeseblock: riots called off for now

Hendinia's Q streak should be 17! Thought 'Piece Of Work' was a pretty strong pop entry (obviously not a big fave for myself but I do like it more than I feel like I should x) so no surprise at it easing through even with the deduction.

Best news here (apart from Trifoski getting Erika de Casier's 2-step UK garage vibes through obvs) is obviously Declan McKenna through for Niceland !!

No Bitch, you are incorrect.

Anyways, thanks All voting for 'Homesick', I thought that it's a Q but the amount of dance in Semi 2 made me a bit worried. Still need to cross my fingers for 3 of my top 5 though.

DNQ: Suedeonia ~ Mr Ben & The Bens “On The Beach”

DNQ: Harmonica ~ Neon Dreams ft. Kardinal Offishall “Marching Bands”

It did seem like a long shot but sadly Mr Ben & The Bens have failed to progress along with Neon Dreams for Harmonica, in particular the two biggest fans of the former gave it almost 3/4 of its total points in the Semi.

SEMI 1:

26 Suedeonia ~ Mr Ben & The Bens “On The Beach” (27)

27 Harmonica ~ Neon Dreams ft. Kardinal Offishall “Marching Bands” (26)

28 Wholune ~ Dani Harmer “Free” (21)

29 East Rukahavian ~ Husman “Who You Are” (17)

omg qualifying??? is this actually real? thanks so much to everyone for having more confidence in my entry than I did myself and helping us defy the odds!

and through with odds defying legends Trifoski?

Suedeonia still fell short of my votes in the end but it was the biggest grower for me on my second listenthrough of the semi (ending up 13th).

Yes, apols. Your spreadsheet was correct, my Mac just hadn't caught up...

DNQ: D'yermak'er ~ Leith “Love Vibes”

DNQ: Séyetana ~ Blood Command “A Villain's Monologue”

: (( Feel incredibly bad to see these both out, although FTR D'yermak'er would still fail to qualify even without a late/failure to vote penalty but it's still sad to lose Leith. Also not here for losing the Norwegian rock of Blood Command.

SEMI 2:

26 D'yermak'er ~ Leith “Love Vibes” (33.5)

27 Séyetana~ Blood Command “A Villain's Monologue” (31)

28 Skall ~ Leon Vynehall “Midnight On Rainbow Road” (27.2)

29 Tartford ~ Madleen Kane “You Can [Razormaid Remix]” (25)

Well at least we can just blame semi 2 having bad taste rather than having to blame Bal for forgetting to vote! (Seriously though that is really disappointing, 'Love Vibes' was my favourite song D'yermak'er have sent in a long time, was 3rd in semi 2 for me! :()

Appreciate Séyetana being bold and memorable as per but this song wasn't really for me (oddly enough nothing to do with the vocals which I didn't mind, I just wasn't a huge fan of the song at the core of it!)

there just isn't enough appreciation for tracks which make you feel rage anymore :(

all in on vicariously living through Flynnonda now this time

RAVE QUEEN

Felt quite appropriate to have The Blessed Madonna to introduce these next tracks - from the trance vibes provided by FARC and N DNTN in Semi 1 to the breakbeat 90s house of Irish DJ Uncle Knows provided by Thelonia in Semi 2. Also great to see some more pop punk through for Flynnonda who Q with Hot Milk's “I Think I Hate Myself”.

17: FARC ~ S7RENS “Euro Visions”

Current Q Streak: 7

18: N DNTN ~ Himera “You Make It Look So Easy (S.M.I.L.E.Y)”

Current Q Streak: 2

19: Flynnonda ~ Hot Milk “I Think I Hate Myself”

Current Q Streak: 1

20: Thelonia ~ Uncle Knows “Hypa”

Current Q Streak: 1

TOLD Y'ALL

I mean, the people who like Taahino are probably going to like Flynnonda as well, that's pretty clear BJSC theory, but more importantly, the pop-punk brigade have really done well this contest I'm hyped for them both

also very pleased to see N DNTN through

FARC, N DNTN and Thelonia <3 (and huzzah for Flynnonda at long last getting their first qualifier of the year, also a fairly good song as well x)
Nice to see Flynnonda finally going through! Would have been shocked if it hadn't
Also we may need to check with Bray but Tartford is pretty close to the last place record if they haven’t beaten it yet?

SUPERSTAR DJ

Another trip back to 1991 now with DJ Carl Cox and his biggest T40 hit from October 91 “I Want You (Forever)”. This is turning out to be quite a dance heavy final which of course I approve of muchly. Here we have some early 2000s trance from The Mystery providing a Q for Summericia, some beautiful melodic house for Kluminican Republic and you can never rule out Buzzjack Mountain - they Q with Hazmusic's “Delight”. We also have the oldest track here in the contest Cora's 1980s synthpop “Amsterdam” Q for FSR Rontvia. Congrats all !

22: Summericia ~ The Mystery “All I Ever Wanted (Devotion)”

Current Q Streak: 2

23: Kluminican Republic ~ Ben Böhmer, Nils Hoffmann & Malou “Breathing”

Current Q Streak: 1

24: Buzzjack Mountain ~ Hazmusic “Delight”

Current Q Streak: 1

25: FSR Rontvia ~ Cora “Amsterdam”

Current Q Streak: 4
