September 3, 20214 yr Is David Guetta exclusively teaming up with British artists nowadays? seems to be doing really well this year anyhow This song is a bit pants though.
September 3, 20214 yr Thought for a moment Liquid's Sweet Harmony had made a very welcome re-entry but switched on one minute to early. :( Had Rhythm of the Night on before that too, actually quite a good show that party anthems slot, if it weren't for the presenters.
September 3, 20214 yr 39 | 29 | 6th week Dave Verdansk Album track from We're All Alone In This Together Released: 23rd July 2021 Label: Dave / Neighbourhood Recordings Chart Statistics NE (05/08/2021) | 4-15-22-24-29-39 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio __ Sales 05 Audio Streaming __ Video Streaming Video WWBPPzYJ5Jk Biography Challenging power and perception with a free-spoken approach to rap, Dave has indelibly amplified hip-hop’s voice in Britain. Born David Orobosa Omoregie in Brixton, London in 1998, Dave suddenly implanted himself in the UK rap scene in 2016, first with the electric grime alliance “Thiago Silva” with AJ Tracey and then when Drake jumped on the remix of the velvety “Wanna Know” from Dave’s first EP, Six Paths. Rebuffing label advances to pursue his career independently, he demonstrated a self-reliant streak on releases such as his 2017 EP Game Over, whose “Question Time,” a scathing attack on Theresa May’s Conservative government, garnered him an Ivor Novello songwriting award. Dave’s full-length debut, the Mercury Prize winner Psychodrama, followed in 2019; epitomizing his achingly honest rap style, it laid bare personal vulnerabilities while challenging institutional racism in a provocative fashion rarely heard in British rap. The centerpiece of the lavishly soundscaped album was “Black,” a heart-wrenching portrait of the prejudice affronting Black lives. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, where Psychodrama won Album of the Year, Dave started his performance of “Black” by accompanying himself on piano and ended it by excoriating British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as a “real racist” and executing a perfect mic drop. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 51 Wanna Know (feat. September 3, 20214 yr 38 | 32 | 11th week KSI Holiday 3rd single from All Over The Place Released: 18th June 2021 Label: Beerus Chart Statistics NE (01/07/2021) | 2-6-8-10-7-12-12-12-10-32-38 Sales: 200k+ Certification: Silver Status: Accelerated Chart Ratio 01 Sales 02 Audio Streaming 01 Video Streaming Video gfHbg53ykPY Biography British rapper KSI made as much of a name for himself with his online videos and boxing as he did with his music, but the multi-faceted entertainer wore many hats as he built his empire of one. He moved from satirical songs in his earliest days into more nuanced songwriting and production on his breakthrough 2015 single "Lamborghini," refining his sound even more on subsequent projects like the venomous 2018 EP Disstracktions. Born Olajide Olatunji, KSI was known as KSIOlajideBT in 2008 when he became a regular video game commentator, uploading his videos to the web, most of them focused on the FIFA series. It was a footballer who inspired him to try his hand at rap as Emile Heskey was the topic of "Heskey Time," a satirical rap that kicked off a series of football-mocking songs, including 2012's "Sweaty Goals" with Randolph. In 2013 he joined rapper Sway on his single "No Sleep," and in 2014 he appeared on producer Droideka's track "Get Hyper." In 2015 he dropped his own track, "Lamborghini" featuring P-Money, along with "Keep Up," which was also the title cut for 2016's debut KSI EP. His book KSI: I Am a Bellend appeared that same year and was released under the title KSI: I Am a Tool in the United States. He was briefly signed to Island Records but cut ties with the label after the release of 2016 EP Jump Around. The next several years found KSI staying busy with content creating, boxing, and a growing music career, working independently to trickle out singles like 2017's "Creature" and projects like the 2018 EP Disstracktions. He became more involved in boxing, escalating beefs with other online video creators into full-on white-collar boxing matches. Particularly spectacular was his dispute with American Internet personality and occasional music-maker Logan Paul. In 2019, KSI signed a deal with RBC Records, immediately issuing his first single "Down Like That" on November 7 of that year. The song featured cameo appearances from Rick Ross, S-X, and Lil Baby and peaked at number ten on the U.K. Singles Chart. He followed this success with second single, "Wake Up Call," featuring Trippie Redd, in January of 2020. His debut full-length, Dissimulation, arrived in May of that year. Featuring collaborators from Jeremih to Offset, the album demonstrated the musician's skill on the mike, as well as his proficiency in genres from trap to Afro-swing. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2015 30 Lamborghini (feat. September 3, 20214 yr 36 | | 1st week Becky Hill and Topic My Heart Goes (La Di Da) 5th single from Only Honest on the Weekend Released: 24th August 2021 Label: Polydor / Eko Records Chart Statistics NE (09/09/2021) | 36 Sales: - Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio TBA Sales TBA Audio Streaming TBA Video Streaming Video R4kRgIkpTxQ Biography Becky Hill With her highly resonant voice and R&B-influenced style, Becky Hill first came to the public's attention competing on series one of The Voice UK. Ultimately reaching the show's semifinal round, Hill emerged a fan favorite and became the first Voice UK contestant to score a number one single when "Gecko (Overdrive)," her collaboration with Dutch EDM star Oliver Heldens, topped the U.K. singles chart in June 2014. Born on February 14, 1994 in Bewdley, Worcestershire, England, Hill was no stranger to music when she first auditioned for the then new The Voice UK in 2012. As a teenager, she had sung with the acoustic rock & soul group Shaking Trees, which created some local buzz and received several plays on BBC Radio. On The Voice UK she made it to the semifinal with her powerful renditions of R&B songs by the likes of John Legend and others, before being eliminated. By her own admission, she was a novice in the music industry game and it took her 18 months to finally get a record deal. In the meantime, however, her sultry, soulful, older-than-her-years voice was highly sought-after by dance artists looking for feature vocalists. Her first recorded appearance, on British drum'n'bass artist Wilkinson's single "Afterglow," went to number eight on the U.K. singles chart. She then appeared on Rudimental's single "Powerless," singing with them at several U.K. festivals in 2013, including Glastonbury. Following her success with Heldens, Hill worked extensively with London-based dance producer MNEK and issued her debut solo single, "Caution to the Wind." It showcased a shift toward a more electronica-influenced sound, with twinkling melodies and production reminiscent of Four Tet. The Eko EP appeared in 2017, and included the single "Unpredictable." The single "Sunrise in the East" followed a year later. In 2019, Hill issued a pair of upbeat singles, "I Could Get Used to This," which featured Weiss, and "Wish You Well," which featured Sigala. - Apple Music Topic German songwriter, producer, and DJ Topic refers to his sound as "melancholic dance music." His songs typically combine striding house beats and light guitar melodies with yearning lyrics about heartache as well as dancefloor escapism. He made his full-length debut with 2015's Miles, and later scored a worldwide hit with 2019's "Breaking Me," featuring A7S. Tobias Topic was born in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, in 1992. He began producing music using a digital audio workstation when he was 16. Using social media to launch his career, he released his first single, "Light It Up" (with vocalist Jona Selle), in 2014. His debut album, Miles, appeared in 2015, containing several additional singles, including "Home" (featuring Nico Santos), which was certified platinum in Germany and Australia. He continued releasing additional charting singles such as 2016's "Find You" (with Jake Reese), 2017's "Break My Habits," and 2018's "Perfect" (with former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke), which became his first song to reach the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart. Topic's first major worldwide hit, "Breaking Me," featuring Swedish singer A7S (Alexander Tidebrink), was released during the final weeks of 2019, and hit the Top Ten in two dozen countries by the end of 2020. Topic reunited with Santos on the 2020 single "Like I Love You," and collaborated with A7S and rapper Lil Baby on "Why Do You Lie to Me." - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Becky Hill 2013 08 Afterglow (Wilkinson feat. September 3, 20214 yr think John Neman said he is still gonna do collaborations but he's not gonna do anything more solo for the time being he split from his label too all cos of his health issues
September 3, 20214 yr I wasn't expecting this to debut top 40 but I'm not complaining of course. :D Edited September 3, 20214 yr by Jason
September 3, 20214 yr My Heart Goes is another solid song from Becky! I wasn't that fussed with the first three singles from this album but Remember and this persuaded me to give the album a go, rather enjoyed on the whole.
September 3, 20214 yr well congrats to MistaJam for being the first chart presenter to get an actual chart hit. shame the song isn't up to much. Bruno Brookes had a couple of hits but neither quite made the Top 40. Not massively impressed with either of these new entries so far
