Uhsting's Top 50

More graphical version of my chart can be found on Crownnote: http://crownnote.com/charts/uhsting/uhstin...op-50-songs-119

Chart commentary: There are 16 new entries and 1 re-entry this week as record-breaking 96 songs were lined up for second listen and some made their way to the top 50 this week. Supaglue. is the highest debut at no. 7 with an extremely catchy chorus and an emphatic final chorus. Elsewhere, the popular Tom Morello teams up with Phantogram to produce a beautiful single Driving to Texas, which debuted just short of top 10. Elsewhere, there are new entries in Hebrew, French, Korean and obviously English.

EAT SPIT! finally reached no. 1 after 6 weeks on the chart. dashery stays at no. 2 and is still mounting a serious challenge to the top spot, while happy for you re-enters top 10 and jumps to no. 4. The biggest jumper goes to the Cantonese ballad "無恙" which means "all right" as in mentally and physically well. It is a well-written and well-produced song which I highly recommend!

Number One Entry

Continuing the angsty uhsting, he is not having it still this week with EAT SPIT! at no. 1. This is full of anger and is very vulgar. Listen at your own risk!

Highest New Entry

ROMES just dropped the latest EP and Supaglue. is probably one of the best songs in the EP. The chorus is really catchy and the final chorus is magnificent. I love the melody too!

Highest Jump

This is a really beautiful song. It talks about whether we are really ok and how and when we can be ok. It is a reflection about our daily routines and the purpose of life. Despite Cantopop being known for rather dated ballads, this song has some production value with synths kicking in towards the end and the vocals are unique too.

One to Watch

One to watch is James Baley, one of the more unique artists that I come across lately. This song resembles Arca with the monologue approach alongside eccentric instrumentation. It packs with flair and it is an interesting listen to say the least.

Hi uhsting!

Nice to see Maisie Peters debuting with "Elvis Song" and returning with "You Signed Up For This"!

I really need to listen to the other songs in your chart.

Great chart!

Hi, uhsting ^_^

Never Change is on the 5th? Guess you enjoy it more than myself. Hope that I found something interesting on his upcoming EP.

Someday is a great entry. Probably better than Run, so far.

Hey there!

A welcome boost for Kindness. It's a great song, moreso now that the video has released.

Don't Go Yet flopping :nono:

I have to say I've gone off the ball a bit with songs in your chart, there are very few I know  Giving your #1 a listen now though, don't think it's my thing unfortunately! Reminds me of that Corpse song that went Top 100 a while back (which was sadly equally unlistenable for me). Very happy to see Magnetic make an appearance here though!

Hi Uhsting,

A lot of unknown tracks in the chart.

Maisie Peters has a good new track again.

Nice tracks bubbling under:

Jamie Miller, Froukje, Sigrid, OneReublic, R3hab, Alesso and Anne-Marie

Great chart!

Hi Sergej! It is such a competitive week with lots of new songs I liked last week so quite surprised to see You Signed Up For This re-enter. I hope you enjoy the other songs on my chart ^_^

Never Change is iconic!! The drop is everything and really fits my overall mood in the last few weeks -- hella angsty. Let's see how much I grow into Someday ;) Thanks Ken!

Hi James! Kindness is such a bop! The chorus is really catchy and memorable, so I think it could actually be a big hit for me but we will see what happens! Don't Go Yet sadly couldn't quite get into the top tier for me :(

I wish I have time to make video charts again so you can get a nice 'o recap for all the songs in the chart ;) #1 is definitely not for everyone but the attitude is kicking! Magnetic is a decent song from your chart so I'm glad I discovered it! Thanks Pete ^_^

Hi Sven! Let's see how many tracks I like from Maisie's new album. I think some of the tracks you mentioned in bubbling under might make an appearance soon in the top 50. Sigrid's new song seems to hit me in the right way but last week was an extraordinarily competitive week so let's see if this week things will die down. :P

Hi Uhsting! :)

Hope to catch up on your videos before long, thanks for the links, at the mo the only one I know is Camila in the top 50 :o

Of those lower, I like X Amabassadors, and Kiss My is great

Keep on charting! B-)

Hi john! Thanks for the comment :) I think Adrenaline is one of the stronger entries from X Ambassadors while Kiss My (Uh Oh) is decent as a popular bop!
