Iron Maiden already 8k ahead and Drake’s album streaming figures peaked on first day. Looks like IM have #1 in the bag then.

Drake peaking on day 1 doesn't mean that he's dropping to 0 for the rest of the week lol ~ he still has very high streaming sales, just not as astronomical as the first day suggested. I don't think making up ~2k per day for the rest of the week is unachievable?

I can still see it going either way though, physical sales sometimes come in unevenly during the week so it's possible Iron Maiden could have another sizeable sales dump in a couple of days to keep them ahead. I'm sure fake cassettes would be forgiven on this occasion xx

Looking at both acts previous albums, Iron Maiden sold 15k from Monday mids to Friday, and Drake sold 33k. Obviously Drake will slip a bit but I doubt it'll be by much more than 10k and I assume Iron Maiden will sell a bit less overall too (however if IM care enough about the charts, a well timed discount could do the trick I suppose)

I still don't fully understand the way streams are calculated to make a full 'album sale' tbh.

I'm gonna stand by my prediction and say Iron Maiden will get the #1 album though, after dropping a load of fake cassettes on their website midweek.

Anyway ~ wow at Little Simz being in the top 3 right now, her last album was super critically acclaimed but did almost nothing chart wise (scraped the top 100 for a week at #87) so it's great to see the acclaim actually translating into some sales this time!

Also reasonably impressive that 'Dawn Of Chromatica' is top 40 without a physical release yet (don't know why they couldn't have at least got the CD out the same week as the digital release, I understand the vinyl delay but why is a CD release taking another 2+ months especially when we have known about this project for quite a while now?), hope it'll maintain a top 100 debut.

We have known about DoC but it was finished very late... Not a Kanye late but late regardless. I think the release date was postponed for a week as well.

Essentially it’s 1,000 streams of any track on the album = 1 sale. (The top 2 tracks are weighted down and only the most popular 12 tracks count.)

I hope Imagine Dragons can stay top 10 but dont think they will, Embrace probably frontloaded but are far higher than i expected them with a Live best of, i hope they and super furry animals can stay top 20 although unlikely. Rudimental not doing nearly as good i expected them and hopefully Lady Gaga can stay top 75.

Didn’t expect Ed to already be up to #2 today, will be interesting to see the top 5 sales but there’s can’t be much between the top 4, maybe Drake doesn’t have #1 in the bag after all.
Ed already up to #2 surely bodes well for him as there can’t be that big a gap between the Drake songs.

Which is weird to me cuz GWG doing WAY better than BH in those 3 days but as I said before I'm sure BH will be again number 1... the song doesn't even feel big (not that GWG feels that way also) to be 11 weeks at number 1 and next week another number 1 by him... Jesus, people talking about Drake like Ed is better, sorry not for me.

Abba really having a strong presence in the album chart, 5 albums in total in the top 100, i really thought Chris de Burgh would have enough of a fanbase to get at least an early top 40 mid week, its sure to miss the top 100 now and also expecting the new edition of Tom Grennans album to do far far better.

Obviously King Kanye's album is better as not every song sounds pretty much the fxcking same unlike Drake's offering!!

But "GIRLS WANT GIRLS" is a banger negl!!

CLB sounds better on 2nd listen though i must say!! B-)

Come on Ed and stop Drake :D

Dermot Kennedy so close to repeaking if he can hold up, Abbas dancing queen also back at 76, this might stay to 100 yet, disappointed for Becky Hills album dropping so much.

Glass Animals' label must’ve asked for a reset if "Heat Waves" was #45 on last weeks update then jumped to #18 on Friday
