March 5, 20223 yr Would have liked to have seen Lisa make it but I'm happy with the four that did. Anna and Cazzi are really growing a lot now, the latter seems to be becoming a big radio hit in Sweden already too. And while I'm not playing either a lot myself, Tone and Theoz fully deserve their places.
March 5, 20223 yr honestly we have such a good crop for the final, which is gonna make it more heartbreaking when Sweden ultimately picks one of the more boring choices for Turin
March 5, 20223 yr Great results on the whole - I prefer Alvaro's song to Tone's but hers is still solid and the trans representation is always great to see. Anna's reaction was so cute  the second heat was perfect, Theoz was the main one I wanted through but I really like Cazzi's track too, fully expected one of them to miss out to Lisa (whose song I don't mind but I don't love).
March 6, 20223 yr Hnmu0qSyYzI Finalists: Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer Robin Bengtsson - Innocent Love Theoz - Som du vil LIAMOO - Bluffin John Lundvik - Anglavakt Tone Sekelius - My Way Anders Bagge - Bigger Than The Universe Faith Kakembo - Freedom Cazzi Opeia - I Can't Get Enough Klara Hammarstrom - Run To The Hills Medina - In i dimman Anna Bergendahl - Higher Power I might have said this before but it bares repeating - what a lineup! Even in an off year, Melfest is in a league of its own.
March 6, 20223 yr Had a go at some PREDICTIONS. I've used last year's jury points and assigned the order I think it will be, as I don't believe we know which countries are on the jury yet, and also that's pretty impossible to predict points-specific. But I had a go at predicting each app group's points for the televote and then added them together. Jury 79 / Cornelia Jakobs 69 / Klara Hammarström 57 / Robin Bengtsson 50 / Anders Bagge 43 / Faith Kakembo 39 / John Lundvik 39 / LIAMOO 32 / Tone Sekelius 22 / Cazzi Opeia 18 / Anna Bergendahl 09 / Medina 07 / Theoz Televote 76 / Anders Bagge 71 / Klara Hammarström 57 / John Lundvik 50 / Cornelia Jakobs 39 / Medina 37 / Robin Bengtsson 32 / Faith Kakembo 30 / LIAMOO 24 / Anna Bergendahl 21 / Tone Sekelius 18 / Cazzi Opeia 09 / Theoz Combined 140 / Klara Hammarström 129 / Cornelia Jakobs 126 / Anders Bagge 96 / John Lundvik 94 / Robin Bengtsson 75 / Faith Kakembo 69 / LIAMOO 48 / Medina 43 / Tone Sekelius 42 / Anna Bergendahl 40 / Cazzi Opeia 16 / Theoz
March 6, 20223 yr Klara and Anders are still topping Spotify so if the numbers stay stable then they’d be leading televote I presume?
March 6, 20223 yr You'd think so but it's not always necessarily the case - I don't think The Mamas were leading on streaming ahead of their televote win in 2020? Sweden are also really well known for having a big shift from the heats and semi final/andra chansen where they just vote for what they enjoy to the final where they get their game face on and go more with what'd be best to represent them in Eurovision which is where I think Anders in particular might not get the big public vote score that many seem to be predicting he'll get. Of the four heat winners I see Klara as probably the most likely public vote winner but potentially being Wiktoria'd by the juries, Anders being nowhere with the juries and around 4th with the public and Liamoo/Corneilia being solid across both with Cornelia in particular getting some strong jury support that is enough to give her the win. Juries 01 Cornelia Jakobs 02 Faith Kakembo 03 Liamoo 04 John Lundvik 05 Anna Bergendahl 06 Klara Hammarstrom 07 Robin Bengtsson 08 Theoz 09 Anders Bagge 10 Tone Sekelius 11 Cazzi Opeia 12 Medina Public 01 Klara Hammarstrom 02 Cornelia 03 Liamoo 04 Anders Bagge 05 Medina 06 Theoz 07 John Lundvik 08 Tone Sekelius 09 Anna Bergendahl 10 Cazzi Opeia 11 Robin Bengtsson 12 Faith Kakembo Combined 01 Cornelia Jakobs 02 Klara Hammarstrom 03 Liamoo 04 Anders Bagge 05 John Lundvik 06 Faith Kakembo 07 Anna Bergendahl 08 Theoz 09 Medina 10 Tone Sekelius 11 Robin Bengtsson 12 Cazzi Opeia
March 7, 20223 yr Poor Klara. Cazzi and Medina to be shock contenders please. oh what am I kidding Anders will do well out of that *_* it's the worst option (bar Lundvik and I'm not ruling that out either) so OF COURSE Sweden will pick it.
March 7, 20223 yr Looks like they have cleared the path for an Anders win then as only Klara could have stopped him. God forbid Sweden take a year off from sending Male soloists.
March 7, 20223 yr Anders is even a pretty close No.2 on Spotify, and it's hardly a song that sounds like a streaming smash: https://www.spotifycharts.com/regional/se/daily/latest So he'd have to really tank with the juries, as I'm sure he'll win the televote. The streaming audience is predominantly younger people, so we can see from Spotify he is likely to be in the top three with these groups, and he'll easily win the older demographics. It's quite depressing really that two 10/10 songs are here in Cornelia and Klara and it's a high possibility that both will finish behind something so clichéd and...UK entry sounding.
March 7, 20223 yr So do we not think Cornelia is the one now? She’s still ahead in the bookies by a bit of a chunk.
March 7, 20223 yr Hold Me Closer would probably win Eurovision with how dire this crop of songs are right now, Bigger Than The Universe would be a huge mistake but I can see it :/
March 8, 20223 yr Author I still hold the same faith as Adam and Lex that the juries will sink Anders just enough to hold him back from winning.
March 11, 20223 yr Does anyone know if SVT are doing English commentary tomorrow for the final like they did last year?
March 12, 20223 yr Really want Cornelia but just know it’s going to be Anders. I like the song but If so Sweden ain’t getting out the semis.
March 12, 20223 yr Does anyone know if SVT are doing English commentary tomorrow for the final like they did last year? Yes, SVT are doing live English commentary again! @1501958451152527360
