30. Ikimonogakari - Netsujou no Spectrum (BJSC 171)

 

 

 

After being sent to PFSC almost nine years ago, Eastovka decides to recycle the Japanese pop rock group Ikimonogakari. Despite already becoming a duo now, Netsujou no Spectrum (Spectrum of Passion) was released in 2014 when the group were still consisting of three members. Currently being the 2nd most streamed song behind Blue Bird (Naruto: Shippuden OP2), this song also became the first opening theme for the shounen anime Nanatsu no Taizai (The Seven Deadly Sins) (probably the only anime theme I sent to BJSC that I haven't started watching it yet).

Popularly known as a dance/electronic country, Eastovka decides to become ‘cheap’ again this time by sending one of the biggest dance artists, both at mainstage and trance music, Armin van Buuren. One of his latest trance songs, Viva l’Opera with Russian-Ukrainian singer Natalie Gioia, became one of the most anticipated trance songs in 2024, and we would love to share our passion toward the song to other BJSC countries. We have to send the rip-off version taken from Armin’s ASOT Ibiza 2024 Mix because Armin scrapped the intro part, which became the first reason why we fell in love with the song.

 

This initially wasn’t the first time we attempted to send AvB, as we used to be vetoed for sending “Not Giving Up On Love (Frontliner Extended Remix)”, for its original form had been sent first to Buzzjackfestivalen.

Armin just released his ASOT 2025 anthem last week with fellow BJSC artist Ben Hemsley, so better check out that song as well!

 

P.S. Anyway the song language is Italian, so 5 different languages for the last 5 contests yay!

Unfortunately, Natalie Gioia might not be Bonnie McKee or Sophie Ellis-Bextor enough to give us a 4peat. We're disappointed, but we promise to send you fresher music and fresher artist in the future.

Good thing is that we still have one more unique foreign language to be sent on next contest, although we can't promise you unique subgenre as well. We will announce the language after BJSC 173 Green Room is announced.

"Xdinary Heroes isn't an unfamiliar name to me. I've been quite paying attention to their releases since I discovered their debut single on X probably 2 years ago. Their latest collaboration—a single by the Korean rock band YB (Yoon Do-hyun Band)—caught my interest so much that I felt there was no better Korean-language track to send to BJSC than this one.
